Eroge Shippping out of Japan?

Since there are laws that prohibits 18+ articles/items from shipping out of Japan, and most likely the customs would confiscate the Eroge you ordered if they open your package @ customs. So question is, anyone of you guys have experienced tragic events of  your Vns being taken away?

Because I ordered a crap load, need to know if it will actually get to me.

Let's see, importing 18+ eroge... from a quick glance at my shelf, I've imported G-Senjou, Fate/Stay Night, Swan Song, HoshiMemo, KoiChoco, the Steampunk Trilogy, and Cross Channel. So far, no trouble at all. I use Tenso to reship stuff, if I'm buying it from someone who doesn't ship out of the country like amazon.co.jp.

I am still considering to buy with exports. How to check if my country allows 18+ to be imported?

But soft copy of VN is more convenient for me due to my family around and storage space.

You shouldnt be afraid that you cant import 18+ content, im 99% sure you can unless you live in like saudi arabia or something like that.

Its the lolis, the lolis are evil and can fuck your life up if you're not aware.

Aww, I need more lolis. Well, I live in Singapore.

So I should avoid lolis with mature theme?

Customs won't seize your game if there's no graphic imagery on the cover, that's how most postal services deal with it.

If your game has porn on the cover, the risk of it being seized depends on whether or not they open it up, if they do you're pretty much guaranteed not to get it. And by graphic I mean nudity, not just suggestive stuff.

What happens next, in case it's seized, depends on each country's laws. If you're in Canada or France, for example, you'll be charged with importing child pornography (may have to register as a sex offender as well) if customs decide to open your package up. Most countries will just ship it back, though.

This is getting more and more complicated.

Generally my country isn't one to allow obscene stuff.  So leave such materials at home.

Tip: just search 'obscene' , here.

And under section mentioning BFC, there says 'declaration', 'if wish to keep' and so on, besides the fact that I might get charged. There are links to do the declaration. Anyways Japanese hentai has mosaic itself, do it count as censorship? Also already labeled 18+, getting them re-labeled with fees to do it, so that I can keep them? Sg's practice of censor is cutting them out, most probably.

Anyway, my main target now, seems to be figurines. Not sure how 18+ figurine works, but seems easier to pass through as they won't get labeled as video games and get sent to inspect by BFC. Picture, doujin books, dakimakuras and posters might consider after more thorough search. Some MOEOH picture books have few hidden pages of obscene material which I bought from Japan, I didn't know until I went through customs and returned to Singapore safely.

Checked VPost to proxy my shippings and save export fees, also mentioned no obscene articles and blah. Best to keep VN and games on software side for now, or bet on game covers like e.g Kami no Rhapsody.

O.o Just read that buying from Mandarake might help  avoid problems due to their packaging.

Hong Kong is easy to find or I'm just lucky.

Here > Here to (1) Subject to subsection (2) any person who,

  • (c) imports for the purpose of publication

There are further description of (2) that I didn't understand too well. But looking at (c) only, I might be planning to move to HK with my IC other than Japan. Hahas

I don't study law, thus there may be loopholes to look out for.

P.S Version dates of articles are quite long ago.
