Snowtsuku
That is why I always suggest non H games to first timers ;D
InvertMouse
Yeah, I always introduce non H games first, too~ Narcissu is usually the one I suggest B).
Forythos
I got some friends interested after talking to them about Umineko, surprisingly. I knew a guy on another forum who constantly raved about it before I got back into visual novels, so it might've influenced me as well. Snowtsuku
Either that or Ever17 or Umineko. I always go for Clannad as first suggestion ;D
Zakamutt
Clannad is too long and starts off weak imo.
Snowtsuku
Clannad is too long and starts off weak imo. More people can relate to it though since most people I know watched the anime.
FOX
I'd call Clannad 'light'. It's light and a bit sad (funny too) on everyone's path, but as a vn it's good. My explaination: It's like an interactive book. You read, you imagine, you feel and game's environment helps you with graphics and music. sanahtlig
I came up with a new one-line explanation (specifically for eroge): An anime-style Danielle Steele novel with pictures, sound, and multiple romance options.
Tay
A real-life example from a week ago: "It's a novel, but with pictures, music, and sometimes voices, and a lot of them let you make decisions to affect the story progression."
