  1. Looking through here, I guess my method is pretty much like VN-Angels. Most days' free time are time-sliced into anime time, VN time, and misc. time. And occasionally there is a monopoly of one thing. (Misc. time includes translation time or things like MAME or MESS) I have manga time too but only on the weekends.
  2. I was wondering how I was going to go back in time, since it's not something people do every day, and I thought I'd sleep on it--maybe something weird would happen when I wake up, like it usually does.
  3. I solved that problem, with double redundancy. First, I have oatmeal on hand, which doesn't require milk. Second, I have a box of dehydrated milk (just add water) and that stuff never goes bad. So you see, this thread became useful after all!
  4. So he goes to the convenience store and buys a box of Oreos. TRUE END
  5. Ah, the incomparable Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. I saw it a long time ago, and I wasn't used to that level of emotional intensity in an anime before. Of course, it also had the antics of the incomparable Ayu Daikuuji :-) I'm still mostly watching the incomparable Ranma 1/2, on season 3 now and it's consistently been an incomparably funny anime. I wonder why I put off watching it for so long... I did end up seeing a bizarre (and IMO rather pointless) movie called "The Life Story of Budori Guskou". It didn't resonate with me at all. If you want to see an offbeat, different kind of anime movie, I much preferred that one about the Japanese engineer who went to Taiwan to build a dam (Paaten Rai) btw guess what my favorite word is today...
  6. This wasn't an ordinary well, but it had piranha in it (as a result of that chaotic disturbance in the universe a while ago); still they were able to confirm Timmy's true gender from the skeletal remains.
  7. All the boxed games I own can fit onto this little piano bench. I used to have "Amusement Park" and "KimiNozo", but I sold them already. Because Amusement Park simply did not meet the Zoom909 Standards of Quality. And if I ever want to play KimiNozo, there is a newer version with different artwork. I think the next one I get will likely be "Brighter than Dawning Blue for PC"
  8. I've been noticing that Youtube resolution setting affects the sound quality of their videos in a big way. Don't let youtube set you to 240p, because the music sounds really muffled and bad. Click the gear and change it. Also, don't let them set you to Auto--right in the middle of the video it may drop you to a lower bitrate... Anyway... The second one is just for grins (snes ver. vs. genesis ver.):
  9. But instead, he managed to save 80 bucks, in the following way: his sister wanted to please her onii-chan by making a homemade dessert, but the topping tasted terrible, so he patted her on the head and said "Don't worry, this'll make a great floor polish", which it actually did--and yet, he started to wonder if his little sister had deliberately tried to poison him, because who uses melted beeswax and turpentine for a dessert topping, even if she did "mistake the salt for sugar" as she claimed...
  10. Suddenly, they realize that the mackerel had been neglected, but it was too late...a wave of space-time distortion turned it into a cable network. Next thing you know, everyone became friends and the hero produced a crime-solving duo drama called "Imouto and the Badman".
  11. The only remaining entertainment on earth was because there was now an invincible disembodied flying fist that would randomly descend down and punch someone in the face, causing bystanders to laugh hysterically until it KO'd them as well.
  12. And after the universe became (even more) chaotic, the plains of Fuwanovel were located on the aforementioned moon of Mars where the zero-g farming dome used to be.
  13. So, the girl removed her clothes and dove naked into the pool which was filled with coins, and the feeling of the cold metal against her skin thrilled her a little, and though she might have imagined it, the coins seemed to caress her body as though alive; at the exact same moment, a random cow floated so close to Joe-onii-chan, who was still inside the zero-g farming dome, that a few of the hairs on its hide brushed the tip of his nose, whereupon he reacted with annoyance and pushed the cow away, but the force of the cow pushed him back with equal force against the ultraglass wall of the dome, and Joe sighed and began to wonder whether this zero-g farming thing really had any qualiaffordance at all.
  14. An adventure in zero-gravity farming.
  15. Suddenly a spaceship appeared and shot captain planet, breaking him into two smaller fragments; then it shot each of those fragments, breaking them into still smaller fragments, which nearly crashed into the spaceship at amazing speed, but the ship dodged by entering hyperspace, and finally it fired a burst of 4 shots and annihilated all of the fragments.
  16. Speaking of the worst of times, the hero would need that armor sooner than he expected: a terrorist organization was already planning his assassination, eager to replace him with an exact android duplicate who could translate with astonishing speed from Japanese into a language which bore a vague resemblence to English.
  17. This week I watched: movies: Lyrical Nanoha A's older shows: Yawara Ranma 1/2 season 2 Gundam (about 1/4 way through) The Snow Queen (about 1/3 the way through) It'll take a long time before I see all of Ranma or Yawara. That's okay, I don't mind shows that go on a little while if they stay good. Last year I watched Super Doll Licca-chan and Miracle Girls which were both pretty long. more recent shows: Mouretsu Space Pirates (about 1/2 way through) I really like the character art and CG and BGM in this show. next week I plan to start at least a couple of these newer ones: Little Busters Da Capo III Sakarasou no Pet na Kanojo Ore no Kanojo to Osana-najimi ga Shuraba-sugiru
  18. okay I fulfilled my part, I sent you a PM on how to make the cheesecake. May the Sweets Spirits be with you!
  19. Yeah the cheesecake takes some effort so I only make that once every few months. Let me know if you want to try. I'd like to know how you make macaroons, at some point. As long as you don't make it with coconuts (I hate coconut...) Also, I hope you've seen Yume-iro Patissiere, that show was awesome...
  20. I see by your profile "Interests: anime, manga, and baking" The other 2 are a given, but yay for baking! Although myself I can only make 4 things brownies, chocolate chip cookies, yellow cake, and cheesecake.

    mahjong

Lately I've only been playing video mahjong once in a while. But, if there were a fuwanovel room on tenhou, I would happily play 4-player mahjong, timezone permitting. (I tried janryumon but I had some trouble with the interface, whereas the tenhou interface worked right away)
  22. Nice to meet you; do you play the Project Diva series of games? I've been getting interested in those. Sometimes japanese is discussed in the chat, so you should get on there when you can. look in HOW TO JOIN So was I, but I found out how to make the awkwardness go away: stay away from other people.
  23. Based solely on your username, maybe you should try this one. https://fuwanovel.net/novels/117
  24. Well, I tried to tell Aeeru this a long time ago, but it didn't take: if you package the game for DL together with the translation patch, then it does, to some extent, encourage "piracy". I know it is convenient for the users but it has this tradeoff to it. Meanwhile, as long as your patch has equal opportunity to be used on a genuine install as well as the downloaded one then you have not encouraged "piracy." As far as this DCIII fan translation goes, I don't really think Aaeru was wrong to start it, and I don't really think MG was wrong to shut it down. I've seen it happen lots of times with anime. Someone will start fansubbing something, and then some distributor will license it to publish in localization, and then they have to basically stop. (At least once I saw where the company claimed they had some show, turned out they didn't actually plan to release it, and the fansub was actually picked back up again). BTW, the reason I keep saying "piracy" in quotes is that to me what you're talking about is copyright violation in the form of unauthrozied copying. To me, "piracy" is a different word, and worse. It means you steal products that belong to someone else and THEN you sell them as if you are entitled to make money off them. (After all, the original seagoing pirates never GAVE their loot away, I think).
