Really ? Apart from the Michiru's route, Yuuji isn't an asshole. Given his past and his actions in the present I don't think he's despicable. If there's one thing : I had a good impression of him during my playthrough.

Michiru is quite good and very original. It's my least favorite character after Yumiko but I have to admit that she is well constructed through the dialogues. She's not over-utilized in the common route I don't understand why you're complaining. But everyone knows who the true tsundere is. What makes Grisaia's girls so awesome is the presence of our almighty Yuuji, simply one of the best VN's characters imo. Repartee ? Yes. Brain ? Yes. Japanese Solid Snake ? Yes. (Sachi is the best girl #wet )

Hi, I'm currently playing Steins;Gate and I'm following this walkthrough : http://ibm5100.net/steinswiki/2011/10/22/steinsgate-walkthrough-all-endings-100-cg-achievements/ I'm in chapter 6 and as you can see there are some choices like calling Mayuri or Luka and we can choose to make a call to a lab member later in this chapter, but I'm in the end of it and I had no choices at all. I loaded the game from an older save but I've the same problem. Why ? It's really pathetic to have this kind of bug in a visual novel where it isn't any gameplay, I can't understand. What can I do ? Thanks !

I'm not against true routes, but I prefer VN that doesn't have one yeah, because a "true ending" is something imposed to the player, if there are heroines routes, it's a lot better to consider each of them as "what-if", thus the fanbase is always satisfied. (And a true route isn't always superior to the sides-routes)

I agree, it's all according to what people think is valuable but when a VN is appreciated, it's undoubtedly good in some way, that's the difference between high-ranked VN and the big jokes like "Maiden Rape Assault: Violent Semen Inferno". It's not a quality at all, but that doesn't mean the VN has to be skipped, there are people who see Muv-Luv as torture but MLA is interesting. (Yes, there are two distinct games but I can say the same thing for ML Extra=> Unlimited~) "it automatically rates highly, it doesn't matter how tedious the meat of the novel is." Perhaps you don't wanted to mean it like that but it sounds arrogant, like they are judging on crummy concepts.

Freezing Lucia isn't their top priority, that was the priority of the Guardian's project at the time, but given the fact they wanted to use Lucia to clean Kazamatsuri if she didn't do it by herself, it's hard to believe they still want to send her into the future, they were ready to get rid of Lucia, so yeah, the Adam/Eve project was no longer relevant. Perhaps you misunderstood something because the antagonist was brainwashing Lucia about this "You're not useless anymore, you can give a future to the humanity, so destroy everything because only beings who means something will remain blahblah.." and it's really implied in a discussion with Nishikujou that Brenda (main antagonist) is just a mad terrorist manipulating Lucia for some irrealistic goal doesn't related to what she officially claim. Something like that.

"half of the main plot" No, just take the scientists in an other way, they're here to awake Lucia's psychological problems, for the plot (who almost stand by itself with the Kotarou-Lucia relationship alone). Don't say you accorded importance to their objective ? It's typical of R07 writing style, I don't know if you have read Umineko and if yes I could give you few examples. Because it's the same thing here, you're complaining too much about the scientists objectives, it's just a means to reach the conclusion wanted by R07, it's not a question of "rose colored glasses" because there are readers who have took the story in the way wanted by the author. It's maybe not credible for you but in the route it's mentioned they were going to drop Lucia's cabine over Kazamatsuri to eradicate everything if she denied their proposal. At this point I can't really agree with you, they become a terrorist organization, not a group of dumbass searching for two people to cryogenized. Compared to the route's focus, yes the scientists are just a pretext, they lack of original objectives or charism but they're not incoherents and after all : it's trivial. :sakuya:

Critics aren't objective, they're critics because they can (theoritically speaking huh) provide a good analysis of a movie, a book... normally they don't want to impose their point of view, just peel a story and its meaning. Lucia route is a good example, I said (and given an example of a little review) why you can't judge Lucia's route about something trivial (yes it is) like the scientists, they're just a pretext for Lucia's development. And I really don't think I'm someone who can be called a "rose colored glasses" wearer, sadly I'm really harsh about things like that and I'm trying to give a different gaze to stories, recently,but nobody care heh, I just like to justify myself. I insist, you can't pretend judge this route from an objective viewpoint (me neither maybe) , you don't like it as much as other ppl do, it's understandable and not really new, that's all. For your last paragraph, even if I don't really care about them (not a flaw nor a quality imo), I'm pratically sure it's mentioned, but I don't remember if it's in the first or latter half, I'll give it a glance and send you a screen if I'm not wrong.

But never mind, be focused on the scientist story is like skipping the route, it's typical from Ryukishi's writing, the only people who think it's bad written are inflexible people, I don't want to extrapolate but it's a fact, that's the same thing for Umineko and Higurashi's haters who played the game just to find the culprit, it's more than that, don't be stuck on a mechanical view of a story, with this mentality a lot of books and VN have been wasted. I don't want to waste my time arguing about an "objective" view of a story (further, there isn't any incoherence, maybe it lacks of realism for you, but the story is coherent). The route is primarly about Kotarou and Lucia's relationship, I repeat myself but it's just so obvious...
