  1. Lol, Gouda. I don't think the writers had intended him for anything more than humor. He definitely should exist in MLA, but remember that bit about the majority of males dying in the war against BETA? He was never mentioned, but it would make sense for him to be killed off before Takeru arrives at that universe. He's kind of an idiot too, so his chances of surviving in combat are pretty low. Poor Gouda~
  2. Wait a minute, what rooms are you guys in? Kinda throwing a paradox in this thread. o.O
  3. Granted. Law enforcers aren't going to care about the law. People are gonna stop caring about morals and rape other people, and those people are gonna be too careless to fight back. Media producers stop caring about making video games, anime, visual novels, manga, etc. Everyone starts getting fat because they just start stealing food from everywhere. People who produce food will stop caring about that. The world enters into a food crisis, but still refuse to fix it because they don't care. Due to the need to feed stomachs, and because all crops have withered away due to lack of care for maintenance, everyone starts feeding off other fat people because animals are too much work to kill (all the slow animals have already been consumed by farmers), and the humanity is now on the brink of extinction due to cannibalism. And the last man standing passes away due to hunger. He dies without a care in the world. I wish I could draw really well.
  4. Kurumi's awesomeness was the only thing that kept me from hating Date A Live. She's pretty damn interesting (and seductive).
  5. Gosh, I feel like I'm one of the rare few that liked how MLA ended. I had to do some reading to figure it out, but the ending does make sense. Here's a good blog entry that explains MLA in greater detail. Pretty intricate structure. http://mdzanime.me/2012/12/25/4102/
  6. I view every anime as it intends to present itself. If it intended to be viewed as a serious anime with a depth driven storyline, I'll look at what the plot does to make itself interesting; if it's character oriented, I'll see what it does to flesh out or develop the characters; and if it primarily focuses on comedy, I'll just sit back and laugh my heart out! I love comedy anime with a passion, but only if it does something to amuse me. I don't remember Dears pulling off anything to bring out a chuckle in me. If I remember correctly, Dears seemed to put more focus on its ecchi. I like ecchi anime too, but only if really blows my mind with how lewd it is. The Kiss x Sis OVA is a shining example of ecchi done well (the TV series does an okay job for the most part). Granted, the characters in Kiss x Sis were almost as deplorable as the ones in Dears, but at least I can enjoy the fap-happy atmosphere. Dears doesn't have the ideal camera angles or OSTs for arousing viewers, it's kinda plain. The voice acting was nice though.
  7. Nice~. It's nice having an opening chapter that cute. Really set the right mood for me to want to read more. I'm still on chapter 21 of TWGOK. It's a fun manga. ^^
  8. Welcome to Fuwa. It's the best way to welcome a masochist!
  9. I'm with hairybumslapper on this one. I didn't dislike the first season of TLR, but I still find it relatively weak in comparison to its sequels. And even the plot gets pretty interesting when you get to Darkness. Ahaha, sorry. ;^^ The characters need a lot of impact before I can consider them worthwhile. I just could not find anything to like about Ren and Miu. Sorry if I came off as a little strong toward the girls you liked, but that's really how I feel. An anime can showcase a girl's emotions and it still wouldn't amount to anything depending on how it's written. But who knows, maybe I just hated the anime so much that I couldn't find their charms. What did you like about Ren and Miu?
  10. Oh god, so much this. I let myself get pulled in by the cute ED, but had no idea what kind of train wreck I'd be getting myself into. I'm the kind of guy that can appreciate good fanservice in anime, but not when it's shoved down your throat. There wasn't a single worthwhile thing about this anime to compliment its ecchi. The heroine's a trashy slut with no real emotions, the protagonist is the agravating harem type, and the scenario/plot writing is garbage. Now, plot writing is typically not that good in most ecchi anime, but at least a good one will have fun and lovable girls. Dears did not. It's a complete disgrace. However, it's only the 2nd worst anime I've watched. Taking 1st place for me is Black Rock Shooter (TV). The OVA was slightly more tolerable since it wasn't as melodramatic, but still pretty bad. The TV series is the only anime I've ever given a 1 to. Between the pointless melodrama, the stupid atmosphere, the mediocre characters, and the convoluted plot, this anime almost drove me to cutting myself. The only reason I was able to finish this anime at all is because of its 8-episode count and my excessive completionism; otherwise, I would have dropped it by episode 3. The animation is probably its only redeeming quality, but I usually don't care that much about that. And HanaKana's superb voice acting was wasted on this piece of crap. It really is a shame this had to turn out so bad, the premise had a lot of potential. =/
  11. Suzuki Konomi is epic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwWCXOgoVDw Favorite ED tied in with one of my favorite arcs in Gintama. Pretty good AMV too. I wouldn't recommend watching the video if you haven't seen the Four Devas Arc in Gintama'. You're better off just listening to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43nlIBs7TZw
  12. Granted! Your heart stops when she calls you onii-chan. I wish to be unknown to death, nor known to life.
  13. Thank you thank you thank you thank you. That is beautiful. <3
  14. Welcome to Fuwanovel! Hataraku Maou-sama was a very fun anime indeed! I loved it. My personal favorite is Little Busters. I'm a pretty excessive fanboy of that VN. Too lucky. I wish I could go to an anime and VN. I'd never leave!
  15. My heart would give out if I let that puppy meet a tragic ending. I'll get on it asap! Anikiiiiiiii! Could be. I've only watched the anime so we'll see how it goes. I like the LB VN more than the Clannad anime, but there's a chance I'll like the Clannad VN more than either of those. I have a very complex set of tastes, so don't be surprised if I don't think of Clannad as highly as I do LB. In my mind, the Clannad VN is still a guarenteed masterpiece in my book (Clannad Afterstory is still one of the only 3 anime I've given a 10 to, and almost everyone says that the VN was better than the anime). Actually playing Grisaia right now. Really is an entertaining game (Yuuji is awesome). That broken image is a real letdown. I love Rin. <3 (Also, is it the Rin from LB? Maybe Fate/stay night? I hope it's not the Rin from Free. o.O) Aww. :3 And enjoy your stay and all the great VNs out there! Wafu~~~ That's fine. I've shamelessly delayed replies in my own introduction thread, lol! And thanks to everyone else for the welcomes too. ^^ Btw, this multiquote thing is awesome! I like how this site is designed.
  16. USB controller and Xpadder. Easy fix! I'd lose my mind if I read visual novels without control.
  17. I've been reading Grisaia no Kajitsu for a while and just got to the first choice when I last played. Was kinda bummed with how long that common route was, and not having a lot of plot exposure to build my interest on, it was... difficult to pick back up once I stopped reading. The writing itself was really well done in the common route, but it just didn't really pull me in enough to get invested in future content. I've been in and out of it for a while, but I finally decided to buckle down and finish that common route! XD And thank god I'm almost there. Due to a lengthy discussion I've had with other readers, I've decided that the most ideal route order to follow for me would be Sachi > Makina > Michiru > Amane > Yumiko. I know it's not the general recommendation for this VN, but it fits my preferences best. Can't wait to start Sachi's route. :3 Looking forward to Heaven's Feel since I've been told several times that this was the best route. Oh yeah, Heaven's Feel is so best route, you wouldn't be able to imagine. I really like UBW too. The only thing I didn't like about HF was the ending. It didn't sit well with me at all. But everything leading up to that ending was just epic. Superb storytelling.
  18. Granted. What better way to be part of the philosophy than to be with the philosopher herself. I wish my favorite waifu came to life and married me.
  19. Shoooooot, I don't think I've ever ever sympathized with a character as much as I have with Kyousuke. I lost count of how many times I cried with Little Busters. It was just glorious. Heck, I'm even the type to cry when I get excited. Sometimes I'll cry just out of sheer admiration for how awesome something is... Minor Heaven's Feel spoiler Ironically enough, Tears 9,10 was probably the least depressing game I've played that fit the drama category. I still cried though. I cry at everything (hense my love for tearjerkers)!
  20. Shcboomer! <3 Oh yeah, definitely glad to be here. And thanks to everyone else for your warm welcomes too. ^^ Wasn't able to do much today since I had a little bit of research to get into, but I'll definitely be around tomorrow. WOAH! o.O
  21. I wouldn't be able to see myself playing through a common route more than once. If I were to read a visual novels twice, I'd skip straight to the heroine routes, lol. No matter how well written it is, I don't think I'll ever have enough appreciation for any common route to go through it again. Not sure how good Clannad's common route will be, but even the common route in Grisaia and Rewrite felt like a chore to read for me. When I'm starting another route, I tend to skip the already-read parts, but I'll still read the extra segments that I haven't read in my last run (a lot of them tend to be highly relevant to the route you're starting).
