I think you need to install/reinstall soundserver.dll and the xvid codec to stop the game crashing. I had the exact same problems as well where I would lose BGM which was a shame at first as the music adds a lot. Have you looked here (scroll down) https://fuwanovel.net/novels/never7

Has Uchikoshi tweeted anything recently? I think I remember him saying if his new game (the "sexual comedy"?) did well he could reconsider ZE3. Until then I dont think we can do all that much...

Specifically though wasnt Uchikoshi referring to Japan when he said it didnt sell well? So how will fans overseas buying the game convince Spike-Chunsoft its worth it? (I realise thats rather self defeating, I posted a lot on the Facebook page too and want to contribute). ZE3 is a game I'd really love to see get made, or at least finish the story.

I think I've seen a shorter trailer for this before - (the 2nd video in the OP) - the images and music make it extremely eerie and creepy I dont mind if its dark, but perverted.. no..

I had the same issue (I think) when trying to play I/O at first, looks like a locale issue.
