  1. This otome game called, "Watashi no Real wa Juujitsu Shisugiteiru" was partially translated with English subtitles on VNR by the lovely eirrir from eirrir.tumblr.com However, when I tried playing the game, they've all been replaced by Indonesian subs. I was hoping to play this game, but it's upsetting that all those English subs have been erased by someone else. Does anyone know how to fix this?
  2. I have windows 8, so it can't be that :/ After trying again today, different text threads are appearing now (yay!) and the text in one of them even seems to be working (double yay!). BUT for some reason, even though the right text is appearing in the box: Translation aggregator is only picking up the word "prologue" as its translation for every single line for the actual prologue of the game (in the case of Desert Kingdom). In another game like Death Connection's case, the only translations that translation aggregator is the name of the characters that are talking (priest, sister, unknown, etc) even though it seems like all the correct text is being hooked in one of the text threads...
  3. I used the old version of ppsspp, which worked with the games Shinigami to Shoujo and Desert Kingdom at the beginning of this year with VNR. However, upon trying again now for the latter game, the text does not seem to be hooking on VNR anymore? In the past, there used to be a variety of options, but now it's just sceFontGetCharGlyphImage_Clip. Using UTF-16, UTF-8, etc.. no text whatsoever appears in this one box (again, before, I had multiple different boxes, with one or two of them showing the correct Japanese text). I've updated to the latest version of VNR too, so I'm stumped on it no longer works when it did before. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks so much!
  4. It's actual translations by real (and wonderful) people - not the machine generated translations. VNR enables people to translate games themselves by inputting subtitles to the line. All the lines in this prologue are translated (and I can see that when I go the subtitle editor menu which opens a new window - with each person-translated line in boxes). However, it's tedious to go back and forth to this box for each line, just so I can see each line's translation. TL;DR Basically, the lines are subtitled (not machine-translated, so VNR is the only one that has these real subtitles). It's just that VNR is not showing selective translated lines that have already been submitted and encoded within its system. LOL I honestly don't know why VNR is doing this
  5. Yup, I've re-installed it and I've also updated VNR afterwards too. Still no change :/
  6. Hi there, I'm using VNR (Visual Novel Reader)'s community contributed subtitles/danmaku in order to play the game Black Wolves Saga. I'm having no problems and able to see the subs fine. HOWEVER, some lines from the characters simply do not show up - despite them being translated in the system. For instance, in the prologue of the game, the moment Guillan appears and starts talking, there are no subs for his lines. Then there are subs for the descriptions following. And this repeats with Arles have selective lines that are not subbed thereafter. When I looked into VNR by going to menu --> subtitle editor. And here it shows all the translations in these long boxes, including the missing translated lines (but it's hard to keep going back to that for every line lol). The subs are definitely in the system, they're just selectively not showing up. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'd really appreciate it, thank you!!
  7. I've been following this on tumblr when you guys started and I'm just as excited about it as I was before We haven't heard any updates from you guys in a rather long while, but just wanted to ask how the progress was? Is that patch nearing completion? If you guys need help with proofreaders, let me know as I'd be more than happy to! Can't wait for this to come out
  8. I know this is super late, but wahh a post from OGE themselves! I never got to say it, but I wanted to directly tell you my thanks. Thank you SO much for translating Princess Nightmare! I adore otome games, and translations for them are quite rare. I had a lot of fun with Princess Nightmare and it was all thanks to your team. *Gives you all a million roses* And that list of potential otome game candidates looks awesome, they're all games that have incredibly interesting plots and characters yay! Out of curiosity, what was the game out of those 4 that ended up being chosen?
  9. Yeee it's completed; definitely gonna play it once my finals are over! Thanks so much for all the hard work guys!! So excited to play BTW, is translating the full version and side story still a possibility? (pls says yes haha) Once again, thanks so much, you're all seriously awesome and deserve a million hugs :3 (I can help with editing the full version & side story if you're not able to find more people. As it stands, I'll be free in July and August, so let me know if you need an extra hand)
  10. Oh man, I'm really excited for this! Thank you so so much for doing this <3 Like mentioned earlier, the tetrascope games have been really well liked and I even got the paid version of Sakuya myself, I couldn't resist. Apparently the R-18 scenes tie in with the plot, which is nice to hear. Plus, I'm a sucker for human x robot romances, as the angst that comes along with it really hits my pings haha. Ooh I'm Canadian too, nice to see more fellow canadians around here! Winter came way too early this year though Anyways, cheering you on guys, good luck!!
  11. Thanks! To be honest, I didn't get as much of a response as I would have liked. Though, there was one user that translated around a thousand lines of script 2 (basTchet), she was a tremendous help and deserves a million hugs <3 Moreover, I should have thought this project through some more. Maybe I'll start up this project again in ~year once I learn enough Japanese or if I gain the hacking skills, since it's almost impossible to find hackers in the otome scene. I have no idea how to close this thread, but if anyone wants to pick up this project, they're welcome to. I have one translated script I mentioned earlier and can share it for a future project (please credit basTchet if you use it)
  12. Ahh thanks so much! Pity they stopped, but having some of the prologue translated is a lot better than nothing! So a huge thank you to them, and thank you to you as well for letting me know
  13. The scripts can be found here: Clock Zero Scripts I will be putting each individual script into google docs (where people can claim scripts) and will update this post with those links once I get enough response. Thanks again!
  14. Hello, I am currently starting a translation project for the game: Clock Zero ~Shuuen no Ichibyou~ It's an otome game for the PSP and has an intriguing story, with romance too! The story is incredibly in depth and the characters are highly developed. Here's the vndb link: http://vndb.org/v6723 Anyways, with the help of vocaotome's extracted scripts from here, I've converted all of the script files into the proper format individually (it was a painful process lol). There are around 137 scripts that need to be translated. Some scripts are long, and some are just a couple of sentences. I will upload each script on google docs and people can claim certain scripts that they'd like to translate and they'd be in charge of those. After all the scripts can be translated, I'm hoping to create an English patch out of it. In the meantime, I'm sure that a text translation would be great regardless since people who don't know the language would be able to play the game alongside the translations with no difficulty at all. At the moment, the team just consists of: Team Leader/Organizer: Myself (Aseret) Translators: Nighthowl Yuan We're currently looking for more translators and would love all the help we can get! The more translators the better. Moreover, anyone who has experience in PSP hacking and would like to help, that would be great! In the meantime, I will try and find out some way to convert this into an English patch after the translation process is completed. I'm rather new to this sort of thing and can't read Japanese either (though I can understand some spoken), so I'm hoping we can succeed. I'd appreciate every bit of help we can get. Thanks so much for reading
