Howdy 

The patch will include translations for White Album 2 Mini-After Story.

Mini-After Story features the following:

-After Story for Kazusa True End

-After Story for Kazusa Normal End

-After Story for Setsuna True End

-A whole host of digital novels, translated by www.wa2analysis.com

-A whole host of audio dramas depicting events that take place during and after base game story.

Audio dramas will not be translated in-game due to engine limitations. Instead, we have opted to recreate the audio dramas in the form of hand-crafted videos using in-game assets and .srt format subtitles. Here's how it will look.

You're right. It's also a poor way of running a TL project, hence the speculation and confusion.

I think Littleshogun explanation is right, and there is just stuff happening behind the scenes.

I've been a translator for multiple projects myself and this rate of progress is not normal, especially when it's so close to finishing. The silence from the TL team isn't helping.

No, they're not "obligated" to finish it, but that's neither here nor there. No serious project can last with that mindset.

Description

Howdy 

The patch will include translations for the entirety of White Album 2. That includes Introductory Chapter, Closing Chapter & Coda.

Beyond that, the patch also revises the contents of the questionable partial patch we released before, including retranslations of whole parts that were beyond saving.

Further beyond that, our lovely programmers have managed to fiddle around with the script to include 14 new PS3 exclusive CGs to our patch. 

That's 1 new CG for introductory Chapter, 11 new CGs for Closing Chapter, and 2 new CGs for Coda.

[How can Visual Novels improve their storytelling?]

Most visual novels are definitely written by people who would never pass as authors, especially when it comes to repetition and redundant lines.

So many, including good ones have this mantra of:

---

"I thought that it sounded strange"

MC : "Doesn't that sound strange?"

Girl : "You're right, that does indeed sound strange"

"She agreed with me, also saying that she found it strange"

---

Another case of redundancy are scenes that could be skipped entirely without losing track of the plot. I can tolerate this with SoL novels, but there is no reason story-focused visual novels should waste people's time. Higurashi is a big culprit of this, while White Album 2 has near-perfect pacing.

The House in Fata Morgana is truly a masterpiece.

You won't regret reading it.
