  1. I think you can only do so many in a row with one friend. When it asks me for candy, I just go to another friend and come back later and it seems to work. Hopefully it's not an annoying free-to-play time-based renewable resource... But something tells me that's probably what it is.
  2. You can tap yourself to answer more questions (which is what friends interact with), you can tap friends in your friends list to get their answers, too. Liking an commenting on others' answers gets you coins and points, and somehow you get platinum coins which you use to get discounts and stuff.
  3. It worked -- friends forever, now!
  4. No, I refreshed my Twitter contacts and it didn't find you...
  5. I'm following you back, so now you just need to link Twitter to the Miitomo app and we can find each other and have fun and fight evil and frolick among flowers and be friends forever
  6. Interact with friends, fight evil, and get points for discounts on Nintendo products if you link it to a Nintendo Account. EDIT: Plus... how else are you going to find out Rose's favorite food? Or see me dressed up in a pirate costume?
  7. I'm having a blast with these questions : P
  8. Added you -- yay! Now we're (almost) friends! You just need to confirm it. (Note: to add a friend you have to be following each other, and then you have to go and sync your Twitter/FB data. After the sync, provided you're mutual friends/mutually following each other, their mii will appear in the "Add Friends" page)
  9. < 3 My favorite message from today: "Thank god @Nayleen's back to save us from @Tay"
  10. Are any of you using/trying out Nintendo's new Miitomo app (released today)? Here are some links to get the app: Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nintendo.zaaa iOS App Store: http://appstore.com/miitomo So. Two things: 1. What are your thoughts? 2. Let's be friends! The easiest way to become friends is to follow each other on Twitter and find each other that way. You can also add Facebook friends, or friends who are physically near you. How to add friends: Download the app (links above) Create a Nintendo Account Link the app to Twitter and/or Facebook Add me (@ArchmageTay) or anyone else who lists their contact info in this thread on Twitter and make sure I/the other person follows you back (tweet at me/them to let them know) Once we're following each other, go to the Friends menu, and refresh/re-sync the twitter list Follow the prompts to either send or confirm a friend request Please be my friend! Twitter: @ArchmageTay
  11. Going to fix the avatars on all the themes right now (make them square and 150px).
  12. Did a forums upgrade, including some themes upgrades. Let me know if you run into bugs, problems, or oddities. The forums software is re-indexing posts, so please expect wonky search results and post count numbering issues until that's completed.
  13. Yeah, I noticed that, too, which is why I wanted to look into it further. Nay turned on Cloudflare much earlier today and really saved our skins. As I wrote in an update in the OP:
  14. Many of the bugs (broken forums themes, broken VNTS tables, etc.) should now be fixed, again. Nay and I will work over the rest of the weekend to look into the details, so I don't have any specific information for you just yet. A friend looked over some of the logs and suspected DDOS, but we won't know for sure until Nay takes a look (THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP, NAY!). Also, while Nosebleed's tweak did create a little bug, it's very unlikely it led to all of this chaos. It just so happens the forces of evil converged on our position en masse around the same time he made his changes. The chat mods will get their badges back, soon! So. If you're still having trouble with your forums themes: Log out and then back in and see if that fixes it If not, clear cookies/cache and try again That seems to work for most people I'm talking to.
  15. Unfortunately some changes were made in the forums ACP by mods which has caused some bugs and destabilization of certain forums and front site features. If you run into bugs in the next few days, please report them here. You'll probably see the bugs most commonly while reading or posting new threads. Update (3/5 7:52 PM EST): Turns out the forums issues we were seeing were almost universally not related to the mods' changes in the ACP. I'm currently looking into whether or not the site was attacked. In the meantime, however, everything seems to be back up and running.
  16. Just did a minor update that, in theory, shouldn't have broken anything. This thread is here in case you stumble upon bugs. In which case you should report them. In this thread. That is all.
  17. I give you my word I will do my very best to burn this place to the ground.
  18. I have scheduled massive site disruption an upgrade to celebrate the weekend! What could possibly go wrong? ... Also, what are you guys doing this weekend? Anything fun?
  19. RE: Working/Not Working -- It's still not quite fixed (indexing is paused for a bit while I work on the site. Some ~70% of posts yet need to be re-indexed, so search is going to be wonky until that's completed). Will try and get it all done and fixed ASAP. In the meantime, call your mom, pet your cat, take your dog on a walk, look forward to the results of our VNTS survey, and blame nosebleed panic in the streets.
  20. You may notice some weird search/"My Content"/subscription bugs in the forums software, today. The software is doing a full re-index and cache, so results will be skewed until everything is done. Tl;dr - No reason to panic unless you're bored (in which case, please riot in the streets).
  21. It takes me about 40h to beat each of them (my OCD/collector impulses are about a 6/10 in JRPGS, for reference).
  22. My favorite FF is far-and-away Final Fantasy 8. It doesn't get the same hype as 7 or X, but it's worth checking out. It goes on sale on the PSN fairly regularly, too! If you wanted to get a first experience with the series, I'd echo the suggestions to try 6, 7, 9, or 10 first. After your first one, my suggested list of must-plays are 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. The battle systems are pretty great in all of those games, so if plot is important to you, I suggest you read brief synopses and pick the one that sounds most interesting. Alternately, read character bios of the main characters of those games, and pick the one with the most intriguing cast.
