You poor thing

For newcomers I recommend choosing one of the early weapons and stick with it through the whole game. See what weapon works best with your playstyle. Equipment also has weight, so depending if you choose light/heavy/medium weight equipment your character will have slower or faster movement capabilities. Which class to choose at the start of the game I would recommend the pyromancer as it start in level 1 and gives you more points to spend in stats, it comes with a good spell early on too. Something to keep in mind, is that spending point in resistance is almost useless so you might want to avoid doing it.
 
lol, I didn't notice you said replay I thought you were worried what that it was your first time and was confused of which weapon to start with.

just be cheap like me and get the drake sword.

Just stumbled on a Dark Souls fan video made using Source Filmmaker.  It might have some spoilers, so if you're like me and still haven't finished the game, be forewarned.  I'm pretty sure they're just references to things that happen, and aren't full-on spoilers, but I thought I should have a spoiler warning anyway.
 

Yeah I know, Ornstein gets Smough's buttslam if you beat Smough first. That's one of the only moves he has that can hit you if you stand between his legs

Y'all really only need Soul Arrows lmao. Really fucking easy to cheese both with Soul Arrow + Great Soul Arrow + Great Heavy Soul Arrow.

With a couple misses these last until Smough has a couple hits' worth of HP left and then you can just dash in and do a combo with a Dex weapon.

oh, lucky you. ive been trying to get his armor to complete my collection but just cant because the bastard is so hard for me.

It's quite the opposite to me. I have a lot of difficulty dealin with the eletric buttslams and big Ornstein can't hit shit

Only played through part of the first one.  It was really fun, I just wanted to play a different game and forgot about it.  I love how the Souls games brought back that old-school difficulty that so many modern games are lacking.  It's nice not to be spoon-fed once in a while.

By the way, would anyone happen to have a good up to NG+ Knight build?  I was using one for a while, then I realized it didn't go through to NG+ and my will to play fizzled out.
