The game is from 2016, which while a bit old, it's not THAT old (probably the 4:3 choice is due to low budget, but I have yet to see any other game from this SH being in 16:9 format...).

As for the old kirikiri engine thing: do you think that the game being made with it IS the reason for the linebreaks code to not work or, is your supposition? I'm not trying to argue, It's a genuine question, as I'm little worried on how to solve this...

hm... i only have 2 kirikiri games which still use .ks format, its your diary and kamimaho, but both of them recognize the linebreaks code.
most company use kirikiri-z for their games now, even they can change the engine code like what akabeisoft did
but since i also have almost-zero knowledge about this, i'm affraid i cant help you any further,
usually i'll wandering around hongfire to see if people encountering the same issue, if you can use chinese try sumisora or snowcity...

Ugh...then  something is going definitely wrong with my game, as instead of the text wrapped, i can see the yen character (instead of the slash) followed by "n"

yes, when running os in japanese locale, backslash will turn in to yen... and um... there must be something wrong, but idk...
i assume the game you're trying to translate is using the old kirikiri engine since the game still using 4:3 screen format? which is why the linebreaks code didnt work...

Uhm, sorry for necroposting but could you please share any info on how you fixed your issue? I'm translating an アパタイト game which uses the same engine, and I'm facing the same issue word wrapping wise. Any help would be appreciated...

as i said in my comment, its just a "trick"...

just put the force linebreaks code before the cutted line/word, the code is as follow: \n

dont put the code during translation, you'll get tired with editing, so put it on proofreading or at the point you sure you dont make any translation mistake...

Does anyone know how to open .ws2 files?
They should be editable in notepad++ but i'm guessing the ones i have are encrypted because all i'm getting are nulls and symbols.

I saw someone found a way to decrypt them way back on page 8 of the forum, but they didn't really go into detail.

If anyone knows of a program or how to decrypt ws2 with hex editor, please let me know.

    Thanks!

just open the script extraction thread, its available under willplus/advhd

Any way to extract the CG images from G-senjou no Maou: The Devil on G-String? They're compressed in an .xp3 archive, and are extracted as .tlg files. Which I can't seem to convert whatsoever.

Grabro should be able to extract and convert it directly from .xp3, dunno if you use other unpacker though, but if its the case, just open garbro, browse where the .tlg is, right click on it, click on convert multimedia, and choose .png...

Also looking for a way to extract the images from "Elisa the Innkeeper: Bonus Content." I extracted the files from the EXE and all I could find were some ".enigma1" files

i can be wrong, but most likely the file you're trying to unpack is protected with enigma, basically this is an .exe protection to run the software in secure way, so most likely its impossible to extract...

Hey has anyone gotten the script file for If My Heart Had Wings decompiled?

It's a ".arc" file, but ExtractData 1.20 doesn't detect it. I tried running it through exoozoarc but just got some ".LUA" files that only have [Null] blocks in them when opened with Notepad+. I don't think the ".LUA" actually contain the script, so does anyone know of a good program to turn .arc scripts into files readable by Notepad+?

the script is sored in rio.arc, in ws2 format.

Hello, I'm recently trying to extract 'Riddle Joker', Yuzusoft, for my fan translation team

It's made with Kirikiri Engine, and I used all of kirikiri unpacking tool, but it just resulted random data files.

I think the company set private encryption to xp3 files.

To decrypt this, Where can I start? I can use python and c++, and have little understanding in reversing and data tree

    Thank you.

maybe you can join this thread

  8. detecting game engine is not that hard, just right click the .exe and see the properties...
    9Ffjss7.png

and the tools to deal with the translation already here and here, those thread already covered most game engine available on the market, so next time search for it first.
but if you didnt found what you're looking for, maybe you can try reverse engineering the game your self using method mentioned above.
    anyway good luck...

I checked all the system files, but I did not find where I could set it up. Someone could help me?

afaik bgi store their font settings on _bp files under either sysgrp or sysprg, just use bgitools from tlwiki to dump the _bp files and use text crawler to serach the font name, the default font should be MS Gothic, once you found it, change MS Gothic to your custom font

    edit:
looks like Aiyoku no Eustia dont have font setting like any other bgi games...

My antivirus is telling me that Siglusextract is a virus. :/

    according to the author:

    Quote

SiglusExtract  needs to hook CreateProcessInternalW LoadLibraryW and some APIs.
Actually, some behaviors are similar to virus.

and as you can see, SiglusExtract is an open source software, nothing's hidden, and you can freely look the source code...

so unless i'm at my workplace, i cant connect to the net...

    edit:
huh? why are we talking about this? anyway, i have no discord...
and looks like you havent figure out how to use the tools yet
majikoi script saved in *.bin format not *.pac, so you need to extract the *.pac and get the *.bin, and then load it with nxsbineditor
