Ainz reacted to Fred the Barber in WEE Episode 3 - Sekai Project's Unwanted Child
This isn't really a WEE discussion thread, but I don't know if there is one of those, so off we go!
IMO, WEE Episode 1 has a good story but a few key unlikeable characters which make the experience less pleasant. In contrast, WEE Episode 2 has half of a good story, and pretty much only has likeable characters. Unfortunately, that part about only having half of a good story results in a pretty unsatisfying ending. I'd suggest waiting until Episode 3 is out, then read both in a row. I've been waiting impatiently for Episode 3 for a while now...

Ainz reacted to Blank Mage in So, Seinarukana was just released, extra fully. (Steam version now available)
But while I'm here, I might as well vent just a bit: I think the most disappointing thing about this game is that it's really a step back in maturity. Aselia dealt with the inherent gray morality that comes with war, the helplessness of the soldiers who fight them, and featured a cast of 'expendable' characters who you valued all the more for being just part of your little war-orphaned family. Seinarukana goes back to Tried and True High School, and features the usual cast of childhood friends and magical royalty. The villains are over-the-top omnicidal maniacs, and once again we have that forced style of 'I don't have to tell you anything about my motives, Main Character', which is something people just don't do in real life. "Why are you killing billions of people! What possible reason could there be for that?!" "I have one, but I don't feel like telling you until you're strong enough to stop me." That is infuriating, because it's the cheapest trick in the book for creating pointless misunderstandings. It's not even a trick! It's a cop-out! It would take 2 minutes to resolve this conflict with a simple explanation, but noooo, you're going to gleefully attempt genocide and laugh about it, and try to play the 'greater good' card later and expect it to hold weight, as though you weren't a sociopath in chapters 2-8.

That being said, I'm quite enjoying Seinarukana.

Ainz reacted to Maxel in Sharin no Kuni Prefundia page is up
Let's start with, where does the english title comes from?

Let's continue with, why the hell is "OPENING" (DEMO MOVIE?) not translated? It's probably because they don't have capable translators of doing so. As we all know most openings are quite hard to translate. Key did their job though. It might also suggest that they want to minimalize costs if kickstarter fail, they can abort the mission without losing much money.
And now, it looks like they're quite sceptical, by quite I mean QUITE towards core VN fanbase, and the crowd which is gonna try to fund this project. Project which is planning to edit existing superb translation, and make it top tier level. Yeah... Nope.
I heard that Sharin no Kuni h-scenes are bad or something, but... I think most people still want uncut version. I wonder what these "..." mean... Figure it out for yourselves.

You thought that Root Double devs were mad with shikishi pricing? Well, there you go! They're running for top tier spot with this price. I think they should add something like: Only for 4,000$!!

Let's look at the cost breakdown now:

    Localization costs of Grisaia SERIES - 64,000$ (Frontwing + SP) (50h+/10h+/10h+ = 70h+)
Localization costs of Clannad - 56,000$ (Key + SP) (50h+)
    Localization costs of Muv-Luv TRILOGY - 57,500$ (Age + Degica) (30h+/50h+ = 80h+)
    Localization costs of Root Double - 36,450$ (Regista + Lemnisca/SP) (50h+)
Localization costs of Sharin no Kuni - 49,000$ (Frontwing) (10h+)
Sharin no Kuni isn't a monstrous sized visual novel, it doesn't have 100,000 lines of text, yet looks like editing of a translation is quite costly, especially such high quality editing that this VN will probably receive.
Let's move further. Development costs 35,000$ I really do wonder where it goes? This visual novel was already translated, engine is old and well-known, because of this there shouldn't be much to do to make it run on english language Windows? Let's also add 7,000$ to that for creating a kickstarter page, and... yeah. There we have 140,000$, it's totally reasonable amount.
That should be all for now from my side... I'm disappointed. Can't wait to see their interaction with "fans" if there will be any.

Ainz reacted to Verdelish in Harem Tengoku Da To Omottara Yandere Jigoku Datta Youtube Translation
    Hey kids!
I'm Verdelish. You may know me as the translator from Toradora! Portable, if you followed that project a couple years back. Well, last year I decided to start on a YouTube series for a new project - fan translating a certain yandere PS3 VN called Harem Tengoku Da To Omottara Yandere Jigoku Datta. (VNDB link)
    Description (from VNDB):
"The progatonist, Kisaragi Yuuya, is the deputy head of the local high school history research club, and the student council has spoken: show off something to the next cultural festival or kiss your club goodbye. As such, Yuuya and his three fellow club members try to create a mascot character, Izaemon, to amass appeal for the club. However what follows is something that no one could have ever predicted..."   I have five episodes up so far. Admittedly I'm uploading fairly irregularly, but if this sounds like something you might be interested in, by all means subscribe to my channel!   See you in hell~~

Yuzuriha Inori and Kawakami Momoyo are my favorites.
For Inori I just love her... not much to say. Her battle outfit is awesome, her pajamas, her school uniform, her swim suit, her color pallet really suits her, the fact her void is the king's void, I mean she is amazing.
Then Momoyo because I really love her attitude and over whelming power, heroines like this are some of the best! Plus I really love kung fu and stuff like that so even better.
Between the both of them I love their eyes! I just want to be held by them and drift off into a warm sleep...

Due to neglect, the protag starts "talking" to plants, and is sent to a remote academy that doubles as a mental institution for children who are "psychologically challenged". He becomes the only member of the Gardening Club and is effectively given complete control over the academy's extensive gardens. Over time, he comes into contact with other students and/or faculty who all have their own problems, to which he provides relief in the form of illegally-cultivated opium. Will he be able to provide the relief they seek, or will his relationships devolve into addiction-driven exploitation?
    Homeroom Teacher
A cheerful woman who serves as the protag's homeroom teacher and Gardening Club's advisor, but has Dependent Personality Disorder. She often wastes class time talking about how lovey-dovey she is with her lover, who lives in the city. As time goes on, however, she talks less and less about him. Eventually, she finds out that he had been cheating on her, at which point he breaks up with her. During this period of time, she starts acting more and more nervous, and finally suffers a nervous breakdown. Protag provides some opium to help her back on her feet. Over time, however, she becomes addicted. Choose:Take advantage of her dependence
Protag starts demanding sexual favors from her in exchange for the opium. As her dependence grows stronger, protag's demands also grow increasingly violent. One day, he finds her dead in her room, having overdosed. Protag leaves the academy and never comes back. BAD END You can't give her any more of the stuff
Protag decides it's best to cut back on the stuff. He starts taking care of her, helping her through withdrawal. She starts developing feelings for him out of gratitude, but fears that it's from her dependent personality disorder, which they work out together. Choose:You convince her that you'll always be there for her.A few years later, she still works as a teacher at the academy. The protag, after graduating, became officially employed as a gardener at the academy. They live together happily. GOOD END You fail to convince herShe starts suffering nervous breakdowns again, and protag has no choice but to provide opium to ease them. Her addiction relapses. One day, protag finds her dead in her room, having overdosed. Protag buries her under a newly-planted cherry tree in the gardens. After graduation, he becomes officially employed as a gardener at the academy. There, he spends the rest of his days caring for the cherry tree. After his death, he is buried under the same tree according to his will. END Other heroines?

Obviously the 2D penis on the screen is a depiction of the reader's penis (pictures may differ from the actual product).

When the budget gets tight, they probably draw a lot to see which girl gets the kiss scene
