  1. *Inserts sad Vader noises* Yep, my worst fears as a Fortissimo fan has come true. Why didn't they just stick to their dirt cheap nukiges? Normally I wouldn't give a shit about SakuraGame, but I just happened to browse Fortissimo's VNDB page earlier this week and saw that it had both a Chinese and English release coming soon. Checked who was working on it and it just had to be the worst company in existence. To make things worse, they already set up a Steam page for it with the synopsis being heavily machine translated (even getting the main heroine's name wrong). And for some reason, they suddenly decided to create another group called Yamayuri Games to "translate" any Circus (or any of its subsidiaries like La'cryma) visual novels Mangagamer hasn't taken yet. So far, Fortissimo and Eternal Fantasy have been hit with the plague. Thoughts? I had a good laugh at their response though. Idk what an 'acquate' English translation looks like, but it's definitely far from accurate. Apparently, they made their announcement on Twitter last week:
  2. Ahaha gotta agree with you on that. May as well just vaguely tell you what you missed out. Imo, the epilogue scene wasn't worth all the trouble either if one wasn't planning on reading Kadenz.
  3. I occasionally like playing plot-focused vns with enforced playing order when done well and efficient like Rewrite and Dies irae. However, there are times when a scenario writer doesn't use it as efficiently as they should like in Fortissimo. Now I love Fortissimo as my dose of chuuni, but some of Kamiya Suguru's 'decisions' on how to go about playing both entries in the franchise kinda has me going 'why' at times. Here is one thing that bug me about some of these EPO narratives (or maybe this issue is just within the Fortissimo franchise; haven't read too many of these to tell).
  4. For future references, the new content from AA are: - Side stories that you unlock after each route. There are five of them. Gare's guide lists which one is to be played at a certain point. - A second ending to Rea's route. - Not really new, but they did rewrite the scenes where an H-scene was supposed to appear so I guess that is something different.
  5. While the walkthrough is catered towards Amantes amentes, you can use it for Acta est Fabula as well. However, Gare's guide is for all the choices that are available once you reach Rea's route (the final one). Amantes amentes makes it easy for new players because of the whole choosing which heroine route you want to go to which makes the choices all meaningless as it doesn't really matter which one you choose you will still go into the route you chose from the start. If you choose to start a fresh New Game without choosing any of the heroine routes, then it will be like Acta est Fabula (I think) where some choices are initially locked and will be unlocked as you finish each route. Acta est Fabula plays in an enforced order so the choices are unlocked in this order: Kasumi > Kei > Marie > Rea. When playing AeF, just take note which choices do not appear in your initial playthrough and save/load to go through the other routes. The choices will naturally appear after each route is completed. Also note that AeF may have one or two additional choice(s) that AA did not have; this choices just let you enter an H-scene. This is just my experience reading through AA first and skipping through AeF later on. Hope it helps. tl;dr AA is easier to read through in the sense that it allows you to enter a route from the get go but AeF gives you the initial experience that everyone experienced and does reduce the mistake of playing a route out of order like Rea before everyone else. The playing order is absolutely important in this game if you want the full enjoyable experience.
  6. StP's Steam page is up with the demo: http://store.steampowered.com/app/487500/fault__SILENCE_THE_PEDANT/
  7. Could someone help me extract images (cgs, sprites, etc.) and videos from light's Dies irae ~Interview with Kaziklu Bey~: https://vndb.org/v18685 I'm not familiar with the new Malie system and asmodean's outdated tools don't seem to work on light's newer games anymore. Thanks in advance.
  8. Edit: Nevermind. I kinda solved it. Does anyone know a good image batch editing program that I can use to merge character expressions to their sprites?
  9. Sorry for the wait CryingWestern. Uploading took a pretty long time since the files were big. Hopefully 4shared works for you. http://www.4shared.com/archive/y25znVrCba/Pachi_Pachi_data_1.html? http://www.4shared.com/archive/2Zcbusloba/Pachi_Pachi_data_2.html?
  10. Hello again. I require some assistance extracting the files from this game: https://vndb.org/v2712. The files are in .dat form, and I tried using Crass, AnimeED, and Extract Data to extract the files. However, only some of the .dat files work, and they give me the sound files. Could anyone help me extract the image and video files? Thank you in advance.
  11. Alright, thanks CryingWestern. Hopefully gimp works.
  12. @CryingWestern - Hmm, for some reason, the image does not appear with the alpha. I tried converting it to .png, but the whole image isn't there and only the alpha is saved. @stormwyrm - Do you know how to go about writing the command line for this? I tried using ImageMagick and used the transparency command line, but the sprite is terribly rendered out. Before: http://i.imgur.com/3mCQcuY.png After: http://i.imgur.com/qXZ5fyV.png Also, thanks for the help guys.
  13. Hello everyone. So, I tried to extract character sprites from 死舞草, but the background for the sprites are black instead of clear. The file that contained the files were in .xp3 format and I used both ExtractData and Crass. Both gave me the same result. Is there a way to extract the sprites with clear background? The sprites were in .bmp format btw. The CGs worked fine though. Thank you in advance.
  14. After extracting the event CGs and character sprites from Kajiri Kamui Kagura, I ran into another problem. The images are all in fragments, but there was merge_dzi.pl file that was able to merge them together. Does anyone know how to use this file? I heard that you need other programs to use it too, but not sure what they were. Kinda a noob at this. Thank you in advance.
