Consoles aren't the problem. Internet's expensive in Australia, and I connect with a wireless dongle which means it's really expensive. So I don't play games on line. You guys have fun, but I won't be able to join.

You played Scheherazade? It's probably the best english VN I can think of, in terms of writing and depth of gameplay. Not many people know about it though, it doesn't get advertised as much as Winterwolves and Hanako because Black Chicken Studios comes more from a sim/rpg background. However, if you're looking for sim gameplay, one of the first Indie places you look is Black Chicken Studios, and if you want that gameplay wrapped in a VN exterior, you get Scheherazade. *Ends sales pitch*

Ideally, writers develop character in scenes which move the plot forward. That way you don't get a Little Busters scenario where large chunks of the game are just the characters stuffing around.

I'm not sure I like the idea of being given an award just for signing up (the 12, 13, 14 award). Making the awards rarer makes it more significant when you receive one, whereas if you get an award just by signing up it devalues the system.

I'm always in the minority on this topic, but I love the cold. It's invigorating, and at night you get to snuggle into bed and feel all cosy. And I'm blessed with good genes so I rarely get sick *does little dance* In summer, I feel so lethargic. all the energy is sucked from me, I can't breathe and at night I collapse into bed feeling all uncomfortable and can't sleep. I also have EPP, so if I spend too long in the sun (like driving), I spend the next 3 days in agony. I went out once in 40C weather recently for half an hour, and was incapacitated for the next 3 days. Took a week to fully recover. *Sigh* . So I spend summer hiding away indoors. More heat next week *double sigh* .

So here's the scene. It's only half-way edited. I haven't finished editing the scene because it needs to be rewritten for the novella and therefore motivation to edit and polish is low. Still not happy with my prose. Especially my second paragraph. And the third. And the rest of it. Try not to expect too much. Charm completely over-hyped it. It's not that good. That's actually worth repeating. DON'T expect too much, it's just a gag scene and Charm COMPLETELY over-hyped the thing. It's a story vaguely related to ear hygiene, which were the exact words Charm used when I accepted the topic. So it is very vaguely related to ear hygiene. Oh, and the scene was only half-way done.

Question: The scene I'm writing will be expanded into a novella in the future, and posted on a website I'll make.
