  1. IIRC I told something about same level of frustration Yes, probably Uchi aimed for 4th game or he just tired. All reveals in this game was really meh.
  2. dovac told multiple times he does not give a shit about people who do not pay. Steam is the biggest sale market for VNs, so he will spit on each and every die-hard VN fan unless he pays him same amount of money Steam users will pay. And real die-hard fans actually already read the best available version in its original language. What to discuss here? World will get all-age version, and after, probably in half a year, will be released separate 18+ version with same mosaic censorship it have in japanese release. Double profit for Sekai - first get big money from Steam and after lazily get money from so-called "die-hards". Sekai again gained, everyone happy. Right?
  3. You're joking or what? Someone with the gun forced Nasu to write eroscenes in Tsukihime? That's total bullshit. He wrote them because he wanted to write them. And they really make sense, as without these scenes Shiki would have completely different image in my eyes - as he behaves himself like a brutal animal when it comes to sex. Never would guess he have it in him without these scenes. So if Meteo told he was forced to write eroscenes - give us citations where he told that.
  4. That was just a guess. Ask @Nayleen or @Tay for details.
  5. Who would have guessed that you commented post in the middle I do not know, but it is not rational to have two different programming languages used. So I would guess it is PHP or Perl.
  6. Who "he"? Everyone here is speaking about the forum. Even the thread title is "7/5 Forums Software Update".
  7. Scroll to the bottom and you will see it. Click on "Community Software by Invision Power Service, Inc." for additional information. IPB is PHP+Mysql forum engine. Theme Contact Us Community Software by Invision Power Services, Inc.
  8. @maefdomn what else could it be? There is a link in the bottom of the page, if you're curious.
  9. dovac knows my opinion, no point to post there. I would not buy anything from Sekai anyway.
  10. Any VNs like Phenomeno? I do not want thrillers like KnS or Higurashi. And I read all VNs adviced in this thread (or I do not want to read them, like Higanbana).
  11. Define "18+ release". Another mosaic-censored shit? No, thank you, I would not buy it. And Sekai never made any uncensored releases, so that's just another waste of time.
  12. Well, it is not like we're in a big hurry here One important thing would be to match japanese and your english translation, I hope you have it preserved somehow?
  13. @Nandemonai I actually spoke with asenheim server guy, he see no problem to integrate your translation on asenheim. So this could be another good way to publish it for everyone.
  14. Lets say, that I saw lot of engines, and yes, every engine have its own restrictions. The most complex of them all is krkr2, of course, as it allows you to extend/program/recode almost everything, so you can do even a 3d shooter on it, I believe (but would be slow, of course. And stupid). But in terms of development this actually makes development times much less rather than doing it from scratch. Anyway, lets see how it will progress. Hope you would have passion to develop Mikan at least for couple of years.
  15. So, I completed the game, so can write a review, I guess. But do not want Basically all my complaints remain. After first 20 hours (so when you completed all puzzle rooms and plot actually starts) story becomes more interesting, I personally liked the Sigma/Diana and Akane/Junpei development (at least it was some development), twists became better developed, than in VLR (so it was actually possible to predict some of them, like Zero identity), so it looked more solid. Still, ending was nothing like final scene in 999, so I was sort of disappointed. Game suffers a lot from ugly graphic, absence of narration (we never know what any of people thinks because of that, so they look quite stupid sometimes, and scenario is not always delivery you character motivation without narration), so shift into TWD-style game was not a good shift at all. Music was okay, but for me music was never a selling point in this series. Twists were okay, but it have a stong feel, that you have a mandatory 20-hour trip along the boring sequences, before you actually get a story. So... I have a mixed feeling. It is better than VLR (which was a two steps back, comparing to Ever17 and 999), but not as good as 999. And 999 is not a perfect game. I will give it 7/10. Only because of a story finally closed and overally it is not bad or boring. But if I had an objective opinion, it would be around 6, because game graphic is horrible, music and voices are nothing special (some of voice actors something even not get into right mood - never noticed that before, I am speaking about japanese voice, as I played with them), and when I have an urge to switch off the screen and just to read text - that's something really wrong with the game quality, really. Unfortunately I am not objective, as I was waiting for this game for years, so one point more than I should give it.
  16. Erm... Told the guy, who decided to reinvent the wheel with Mikan engine Yes, I also do not understand, why I still see in 2016 releases compression methods from 1989, instead of using built-in libraries like gzip, why someone still uses custom audio compressions or try to obfuscate C# code... Japanese programmers think differently, that's all I can think of.
  17. Unfortunately I do not have any right now, I remember when I checked Cartagra remake for PS2, there were insanely large arithmetic subroutines, covering almost every math operation possible, xor/or/and operations, including ( ) priority and stuff... And all this used just to do "Flag A += 1"
  18. @mnakamura Speaking about N7/E17/etc converters - I never saw so much complex arithmetics in simple eroge engine just to add/compare a flag It looked like they wanted to do a TBS, not an eroge.
  19. Well, I think better to create a separate spoiler topic about walkthrough. Here I will just complain about game
  20. Some videos of initial gameplay, it seems. While first real problem start after 20 hours of gameplay... I wasted 2 hours figuring out why game does not go forward - and the problem was that I did not cleared one of the variations in first Execution sequence... Really dumb structure, when on map all is ok, no way to go - but still there is some hidden variation, indicated as icon in left top corner of the map... And I almost never used global map and never saw them... Annoyed me so much...
  21. Well, I doubt there is any walkthrough yet. In some days would be, but now I think there is just some posts here and there.
  22. His email works fine... Okay, I will ask him and will give him link to this thread. So, he replied and told, that he used BaSF algorithms for Divi-Dead and probably for Nocturnal Illusion (of course BaSF gave his permission for this). BaSF is not part of Asenheim staff, all other games were reversed and mantained by Zus. Speaking about "list seems to be pretty close to ViLE" - most likely that's just a coincidence, because there is quite a few classic eroge with english translation. And no, he never got your emails. If you still want to speak with him - you can pass me your email in PM, I will send to him, he will try to contact you. Zus is friendly and cooperative guy, as I already told. That's weird you were not able to get any response from him. Seems all is clear now?
