  1. Going by word-of-mouth here, but you could play MLA without playing Muv-Luv, though with a diminished experience. Umineko works well, but there is romance. Higurashi too. No romance, but it starts similarly to a harem. RGD fits from the little I've seen. But no detective. If you haven't read it, then Remember 11 is very awesome sans the ending. The steampunk series (Sekien no Inganock, Shikkoku no Sharnoth, upcoming Ourai no Gakhthun) fit the bill with the exception of the detective.
  2. Am I the only one who finds it cute? Though I do want to hit it. Suits you well too. 8/10
  3. Nice, I was curious about this title, but I hadn't seen a good review for it. Thanks a lot.
  4. Confession: I'm having an avatar dilemma. Expect to see numerous changes for a while.
  5. Now it feels like you're openly insulting me. 7/10 Good art and pose, but lacking in something striking.
  6. Ah, I know that. Now I wonder why I brought it up. XP
  7. Obvious Points: - Keep the style consistent. I'd advise against using this style in this scene if it's not generally used in other scenes. Somewhat Obvious: - You have a habit of using several short sentences. This style works fine, but you need to break it from being bland. There are also times where you force it, and the transition of sentences is awkward. (e.g. Broken glass covers the floor. Piercing into my skin.) You could back this up with good direction, like 'Broken glass covers the floor.' *cue blood drips* 'Piercing into my skin.' Otherwise, you need to connect them better. The formula, [Noun]. [sentence in relation to noun], works well. (e.g. The broken window. A lifeless corpse sits near it.) Some personal remarks here: I feel like I'm manipulating your style with the suggestions here, so feel free to disregard. I'll add more remarks later. A suggestion my workshop teacher once gave me was, "Write down the same scene in the most blunt, and least literary way you can. Compare the two." I'd advice you try the same. You could also do so with your normal style.
  8. Are Pygmalion, Galatea, Cheshire Cat, Narcissus, Echo, and other mythology famous enough?
  9. Confession: I'm utterly pissed at my horrid naming sense. I can't name my characters AT ALL. I mean, just look at my username! Confession 2: I don't understand why people like Winged Cloud art. I think it looks ehh.
  10. Good art, and cute. However, I haven't watched Love Live, so I can't fully appreciate it. It also looks odd on the dark theme. 7/10
  11. Did you make the review yet? Be sure to be as objective as possible.
  12. Same, but I recognize Funyarinpa by his sig. I'll probably call both of them Sora in my head.
  13. Boys Love, or more commonly known as yaoi. I'm not exactly surprised if you mistook me for a female. Don't worry about it. Confession: My humor is really bad. In real life, people can't tell I'm joking half the time.
  14. I'm not a fan of the colour palette, outfit, or character. It suits you well though. 6/10
  15. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Anime: I'd mention Penguindrum for having quite the colour palette, bringing full attention to almost every detail. VN: The steampunk series have nice presentation. The stylization is amazing, and is a treat if you like shōjo art. I haven't played it, but Shiei no Sona-Nyl looks imprezzive. Other than that, Favorite's works have a cool palette too. Innocent Grey manages to make mundane characters look pretty. Nitro+'s later works are amazing in visual presentation.
  16. When I googled it, the exact definition is a social or romantic appointment or engagement. So a 'date' is simply two people hanging out, yes. The latter might be true depending if the lovey dovey parts are serious. I'm guessing it is dependent on the "couple's" take on the matter.
  17. ~~~ Right, that should do it. I'm going to sleep, will read feedback in the morning.
  18. False. It's pretty useful if it's just for one word or for comedy. Next person is happy when reading/watching tragedies.
  19. What IceD said, but if you want to rebuke Guy B, tell him, "Hey, I play these for the porn AND the plot," because saying you play it for just the plot is unconvincing, no matter how true it may be.
  20. I guess it's impressive for paint, but I'm a critic. 4/10
