Alright, got internet at the new place! Still a bit more moving stuff back and forth to do, though. Anyway, I got a bunch of writing done on the way! Got the fourth rewrite of that scene from earlier done, and it actually made it to the end this time around! I'll be posting an additional scene for feedback later, but for now here's this one. I feel like the dialogue is a bit more suited for VN format, but I'm unsure if it makes the flow feel off in standard novel format. This can be useful information as well, so please let me know. Aside from that, I have a small practice document I used to try and find the protagonist's voice.

The strategy I stuck with was to run across one side of the map while taking note of where the values stop decreasing. Afterwards, mark the space X tiles away from Mary. A helpful rule of thumb is to move one tile at a time when using the 3-tile or 5-tile move. Also, if you go to the VN Reading Club thread for Sharnoth, someone (I believe SoulJustin) posted pictures of the locations to the four voices. There's nothing other than those options to my knowledge.

The immediate Sci-fi to come to mind are the Infinity series (Never7, Ever17, Remember11), Zero Escape series (999, Virtue's Last Reward), the Science Adventure series (Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes*), and YU-NO. I can't vouch for the quality of Never7, C;H, R;N, and YU-NO, but the rest are rather interesting. If you want more under steampunk, then the Steampunk series (Sekien no Inganock, Shikkoku no Sharnoth, Ourai no Gakhthun**) will be perfect. They all have minigames though; with Sharnoth's considered to be annoyingly hard or nicely immersing with more on the former.
