  1. So.... I believe me and Ilegend will rewrite the FuwanViewer in WPF. We haven't really starting coding yet, but we've already decided about the new features we want to add: sync with VNDB user Blacklist for VNs you don't want to see New layout some caching mechanism, (was it there before?) support for themes and theme creation tool Thats all we came up with, but perhaps you guys may have some ideas. If you want us to implement some feature, it is the best time to tell us Here is a link to a little sketch of the application, play around with it and give us some feedback guys
  2. I've been playing with WPF and Blend for VS recently too, so if you'd like some hand Ilegend I'd be very glad to help. I am on holidays now, so there is not much for me to do
  3. Well, thats... I don't think it will work out. Personally I am playin WoW and even if you guys would make a guild on my server, there is no way in hell that I'd leave my comrades and I guess it's similar with most of us - gamers [= Anyways, if someone is playing WoW then feel free to join my guild "For Fun" on Ragnaros-EU. We're a bunch of nice people who've been playing for over 3 years now. We're raiding 2 days a week and have a lot of fun doing it!
  4. erm, and like ... why do you hate us ?
  5. Hmm, is that app still downloadable ? I'd like to get my hands on it (but not the source code). (:
  6. I think that giving 15 points may be a bit too... much. My ideal VN should satisfy following conditions: 1. Interesting characters, who act like sane and intelligent human beings, 2. Interesting plot, perhaps with a bit of mystery. 3. A fair balance of humor and story-driving events. Also, the humor should represent some decent level... 4. Awesome soundtrack which catches my attention and doesn't make my head hurt after few hours, 5. Long enough (at least 20h) that I will have some time to enjoy it before it ends, 6. And on top of that some high quality art, sex scenes for the purpose of story. Everything else can vary, afterall, if we specify too much, isn't it like pointing at a single game? Afterall, isn't it sad to assume that no better VN will ever be released and perhaps make you change these statements. At least I hope, that my best VN ever is still to be found! (:
  7. Ok.. I will try to motivate you, as I am currently going through Alternative and I felt exactly the same way you do about Muv-Luv. First of all, Muv-Luv has two... stories in it. The one you're going through is "Muv-Luv extra" and the one that becomes available later is "Muv-Luv Unlimited", so don't expect that Meiya and Takeru will jump into cosmic gear and save the universe after they finish meal contest. After you finish muv-luv extra (the one you're going through now) you will be able to click "new game" and choose muv-luv unlimited. About the point of this VN... Hmm, well. You should read Muv-Luv to know what is Takeru talking about in both Unlimited and Alternative, it definitely makes the sequels much more fun. I'd say, just get to know the characters and more less, remember the outline of the plot, it may be hard sometimes to keep on reading, but do still... do it! You can skip some scenes if you really can't force yourself (e.g. I skipped all the scenes with 3 idiots). Oh, and I don't think there's much point in going through any route except Sumika and Meiya. (and I am not sure Meiya is mandatory either). Before you play Alternative it is mandatory that you read "Unlimited". Luckily, you probably won't have to force yourself through that one. Its fairly ok, if you accept some facts they throw at you. After that you can start Alternative, and that pays the bill for the whole meal. Its at least twice as long as Extra and it is good to say the least. Myself I haven't finished it yet and frankly I don't want to finish it soon, I bet we all know that feeling. So push yourself, so that you can play Alternative with clear conscience and enjoy it to the fullest. PS: If you want some motivation for reading "Muv-luv extra" then, I can try and lie to you that there is an amazing twist at the end and don't even bother figuring out what it is, you have no chance. I literally facepalmed when I got to that, I will leave the interpretation of "why I did it" to you.
  8. Done. If KGB knock on my door, I will blame you for that.
  9. Hello hello, good morning : ) Do you by any chance play some chess too?
  10. Hmmm, so they have admitted that it was poorly translated... Hmmm... I guess it's nice not to understand Japanese sometimes! I believe, it can be quite irritating when you are reading through poor translation, whereas I simply didn't notice.
  11. Yeah, I absolutely agree with that one. When I write an emoticon, I want people to see the emoticon and not some "yellow smiling ball". It does get even more annoying when multiple emoticons are casted to the same image... as if text editor knew better than me, what I want to express. Moreover, in my opinion these images look much worse in the text than the original emoticon would. But oh well, I guess we have to live with it *sigh*.
  12. I like to say "Good Morning" (Dzień Dobry) to my friends instead of "hi"/"hello" (cześć) everyday. I picked it up from a guy who was playing with me, and I quite liked it, because he said it so naturally that it seemed a bit hilarious. My friends are slowly getting used to it, but sometimes I can still see them a bit dubious about how to reply to such a official greeting I recommend you try it yourself,
  13. Hello and welcome! *hugging back*
  14. You got it... together with diabetes. I wish I had a nice lil' house in the woods with a quiet neighbourhood (now, thats uncorruptable!!!)
  15. Thanks a bunch for warm welcome and all recommendations! I've already finished Rewrite, Seinarukana (1st part), atm I am going through Clannad in Russian (some Russian is good when you study it) and I guess I will go for Deardrops soon
  16. No no no no no! I definitely do not know Japanese, I only know how to say 'hi' and 'good evening' x) silly mistake, and i even read through it twice ... oh well, I've corrected it now.
  17. Hello everyone! I am a miserable CS student from Poland, and therefore I am quite a nerdy guy. I've been reading VNs for over a year now, and damn I love it. My first one was Utawarerumono and hooooooly macaroni it got me really bad. So bad that I am addicted to them since then. Overall I prefer VNs with romance, nice slice of life and fairly logical plot :)/> So far my definite favorites are 'Kira☆Kira' and 'G senjou no Maou', but I still have a lot to read, even though I don't know Japanese =] Besides that I like to play chess (because hell its a fun game!) and World of Warcraft, although this stupid school here demands you to learn everything yourself therefore I do not have much time for any of these, but I still try to slack off and immerse into VN's' world every Sunday. :)/> If somebody wants to play some chess or WoW I'd be glad to play some with you. I am very happy I've found this forum.
