True though, but I still do think that it is overbudget. Paying people for the dev: Means he needs at least an Illustrator, Writer, and Scripter. But as far as I see, it still doesn't come up with 20,000$ and somehow he didn't introduce the people who helped him making that VN, right?

Hey there! Good luck with your visual novel making!~ Have you registered and conversed in people in Lemmasoft Forums? They have a lot of VN resources that could be very helpful for your project. Graphic tablet is a must. I have used Wacom Bamboo Manga (that you have previously said) and it went really good with me. At least I have managed to do something like this with that tablet. And it is relatively cheaper than other Wacom graphic tablets. Software for painting are a lot. But I recommended on getting Photoshop CS (anything, but I recommended CS5 or CS3) & Paint Tool SAI (for the main making of the image). Since the both are very useful. Making blinking eyes or animating things, you will need Adobe Flash (or you use Photoshop (Image Ready)) would be fine too. Hope this post is useful!~

lol, I don't have any IRC or anything that connected me to most of Fuwan residents who do casual (or other) talks there. Feel like I am left out because of my obliviousity (and fear for making my laptop hanged because my experience on using those things like IRC channel thing is really bad). In any case, wanted to bump into the thread too, since I also have a few or two about Fuwan. Fuwan is definitely an interesting forum. And I'm trying to be honest here. There are a lot of forums out there and I have registered in a lot of places (with a lot of screen names). But most of them didn't entertain me. Why? Because there are always a lot of pro and cons getting crashed and make the others look awkward more than they have ever been. The forum that had stick with me for more than a year is a gaming forum, which is full of people who have this 'feeling of pro' and they just make a community of itself, without having any feeling on welcoming a newcomer (like me) inside of their community. Which is why, I feel like I am a bother every time I posted inside of the forum. But with Fuwan, sometimes I do feel inferior toward the others since I know less about Visual Novels more than the other residents here have ever played. And also the fact that most of everyone here have discussed and argued a lot (not in a negative way) about VNs; but hey! This is a VN community, so it is mundane. Everyone here seemed to have a more superior feel (no, it's not a negative remark), so I am kinda scared when I posted something. Since I'm sure some of my (drafted) postings will probably doesn't seem to be in a par with other posts. But hey, it's just me. But I still want to say it here since I want to let it out But overall, I think Fuwan has been a very useful site to me (and a bit friendlier than most of forums I have ventured in the net). I first joined Fuwan because of Aaeru's interesting posts in her old blog (and her definitely interesting point of view regarding piracy; since all I know that people who dislike and say a wall of text about how bad piracy (in general) is because I wholeheartedly agreed that it's stereotypical). But heck, I have never learned about (only read articles from Aaeru's posts again) intellectual property or piracy thing. I only took examples from the reality of piracy around my environment; and if I argued it in the public, I would have never won. (That is why sometimes I admired Aaeru for taking a brave stand alone like that in VN community, especially I knew that community is a bit harsh and somehow biased on something, but mostly), and she said something about a forum. And so I decided to register haha. But I have never regretted on ever making an account here. The forum has been welcoming, and hopefully it will always be toward the other newcomers. Whoops, sorry for the wall of text. xD

Is it me or I think they overusing the mass to much by funded THAT much money for one visual novel..? Here is for a comparison: A seemingly interesting and good looking game called Harvest (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1840293109/harvest-0?ref=category) only need $10,000 for its goal. Seeing Megatokyo (I don't even know this title before this thread comes up) needs $20,000 .. Doesn't it seem overbudget? Please don't flame me if I am wrong ;;

I usually use either Fileden, Mediafire, Dropbox, CX for free storage hostings. But personally I like Dropbox the best. I think Mediafire itself is a good choice if what you actually want is to store your images. But just like Kendjin said before, it's better to compress it into .rar or .zip since it'll lessen the size and name it into codes. I uploaded some official things (that somehow detected as licensed / unable to be publicized) but it works well when you download it for yourself. Though it only gives you 10GB free storage. How about separating the things (from CGs to Videos) into two different website with the biggest bandwidth? That way you could get like 30GB free for your stuffs and that way, I think it'll be more organized

I was finished with Forest few days ago, and so I did with Quartett! yesterday, it was definitely a god-tier VN and I like it. Now I'm playing Rewrite. Hopefully it's as good as expected.

Craved this show since it first announced, until then I waited and ditched a lot of anime for this. BGMs are awesomely made. I have tried and had actually planned on making one two years ago with my two best friends, but we decided that making it was a pain since we were busybodies in school and we don't really have time except for doing our own thing. It's just sad that our project is cancelled, mostly because of the lack of programmer and also time. So my project is redirected into a light novel instead, with some illustrations to accompany the pages. I have just started writing at November 2012, and I have only just produced 3 chapters with 21,000 words. ;;

As for me, I live in Indonesia and I saw a very primitive potential of Visual Novel being known around my friends in my environments, especially. I knew about Eroge and VN from a friend of mine who loves to hang out in 2ch and 4ch, so I have to say, she is one of the very few. I have just known a couple of Indonesians who enjoyed visual novels across the borders within Twitter and other social networks, but it was just like, only a miniscule amount of people that actually enjoyed and played it like me. Some Indonesians could do very good English, but most have broken English. Is there anybody an Indonesian like me too?
