What is Caffeine: Victoria's Legacy about?
Coffee. Yes, you guessed it. It's about coffee - Cappuccino, latte, flat whites and single origin pour over coffee.

But it's not just about coffee......

It's about coffee in a steampunk fantasy world where caffeine is magical. 
The Story
Taka, the protaganist, has not seen his mom since his 6th Birthday. One day he decides to embark on a journey to search for her whereabouts.
He falls off a plane after drinking a bottle of cold brew coffee given to him by a mysterious barista. This leads him to arrive at a city called Victoria, a Victorian / Steampunk alternate reality where technology is at least a century behind. 
He soon finds himself in front of a coffee house called Taka Coffee House, the same coffee house he and his parents used to work and live together as one family. Desperate to understand the situation he is in, he vows to find out what happened to his parents. 
But before doing so, he needs to learn about the power of caffeine. And in order to learn about the powers of caffeine, he needs to learn how to...... brew coffee.
In this journey, he's not alone, helped by 4 lead characters with amazing talents:

Victoria - The City
Caffeine: Victoria's Legacy, is also a story about the city of Victoria. The world's coffee capital, and the most powerful city state in the world. Numerous background scenes have been created to portray the city and its coffee house, done to create a fully immersive environment.

Become an active participant in uncovering the history and lore of the city. Around 20,000 words have already been written dedicated to world-building ONLY - History, Geography, folklore and politics.

Story-Rich - There will be romance elements, but story is king. 20,000 words have already been written on world-building ALONE.
Choice Matters - Every choice matters. Characters will remember what you said and react accordingly in later chapters, opening up different dialogues.

"Is there a true path to happiness?"
Abruptly finding herself at the bottom of a snake pit, an impoverished girl named Linh is bound and helpless for a crime she did not commit. Left to the mercy of the village snake god, a mysterious entity appears before her, offering to save her in exchange for her soul.
Finding herself in a new reality, she is torn between staying with the beautiful temptress, Ai, who had rescued her from death, and the resourceful wanderer, Jinhai, who promises to set her free.
Who is the real savior? Will Linh discover the strength to change her own fate? Journey with Linh as she is forced to question her understanding of life, happiness, and what it means to be human. Every decision matters in this tale about identity, friendship, love and loss.
CHARACTERS:

Linh (MC): Growing up in poverty, she does what she must to survive. She's learned to keep her emotions and opinions in check to protect herself. She is extremely loyal to those she cares about, which gets her into trouble. Will she be able to protect what's most important to her?

Jinhai: A former nun, she is open and friendly to everyone. She finds the most joy in cooking and making medicine for others. What is her connection to Ai? What secret hides behind her unwavering smile? She also has a pet chicken that has yet to leave her side.

Ai: A serpent who reveals itself to be a shapeshifter with magical powers. Blunt, with a hatred for humans. Is she a goddess or villain? What is her true motive behind it all? Or perhaps, she really is a danger to everyone...

My name is Roxie and I've been wanting to meet other VN community members  Admittedly I'm more of a lurker, and my current schedule in juggling everything might not change all too much, but I still wanted to introduce myself at the very least. I generally play EVNs and some JVNs when I'm not too busy. I'm currently working on my own yuri visual novel, after spending lots of times helping my friends on their VNs. The world is full of mysteries and secrets.

In the shadows, beyond what the ordinary people can see, demons, witches and other supernatural beings live and fight. 

But on a night 20 years ago, the balance of this world was offset. Until today, no one knew what truly happened that night. The only sign, one that even normal humans could sense, was the 'Hoshi no Ame': a rain of colorful stars all around the world. Since then, there have been several mysterious occurrences that even supernatural beings could not explain. 

One of these occurrences is the appearance of the Shin. 
The Shin is a mysterious special ability granted to a few human children who were born in the past 20 years. However, this power comes at the cost of great misfortune, bringing danger to to the bearer and those around them. Because of this several tragedies happened.

Now those children, who have survived such a cruel fate, are slowly gathering in one place to finally reveal the truth:

Aurora Academy.

Aurora Academy...
... is a famous school with outstanding results in education and sports, but only in the eyes of normal humans.  
In reality, it's a place designed to protect the children who own a shin.
