  1. page 2 bitches, tied with phersu (although phersu is higher up on page 2 than I am)
  2. Fixed Also, all of the cool countries (US and Japan) call it soccer. Don't be jealous just because yours isn't one of them XD lol
  3. Being american, none of this soccer stuff means anything to me... O.o
  4. But wouldn't the drop in intelligence to a mindless eating machine bother you... oh wait, I suppose that wouldn't be a problem in your case... lol jk XD
  5. I meant that as a general ad for a TLC. it wasn't necessarily just targeted at you
  6. Alright so I need help with this. The context is that the MC Saginomori-sensei invited Werfen-sensei to join him on supervising the school camping trip but since he was vague with how he asked, she ended up believing it was going to be a big group orgy basically. Anyway, she eventually figured out it was a school camping trip but the MC never found out what she thought it was going to be, though he does know that she didn't realize it was a camping trip, so he was surprised to find out that she had a bathing suit. When he asks her about it, she says the following, but reads "裸" as "ra" instead of "hadaka" which is what causes the MC's confusion. How can I express this in english? Werfen-sensei:「これはあの、一応、見る方にも礼儀があったりして、裸になる場合があった場合、これで許してもらえないかと思いまして一応……その、一応」 Saginomori-sensei:「ら?“ら”が恥ずかしいってなんですか?」 As always, any help you can provide is greatly appreciated
  7. Why hello there, I am that translator. I am one of two translators working on this (I'm in charge of the common route, Airi's route, and Masaki's route). What we really need is a translation checker. Your job will obviously be to read over everything I've done so far and fix anything you come across where I made a mistake. Also, less obviously, your job will be to nitpick. Besides just the places that are obviously wrong, you also need to point out places that "just don't quite sound right" or places where some subtlety of meaning has been lost, etc. Every time you nitpick as a TLC, my Japanese gets better and the quality of our final release goes up by just a little bit. I can tell you right now that the only way this translation project will die is if both blizzard AND I died. Short of that, this project will survive and it will be completed. Right now, what's holding us up is just our lack of a TLC, so for the sake of everyone who is eagerly awaiting this translation project, if you are very skilled at Japanese, please contact blizzard and apply right away. TLDR: If you're good at Japanese, please join our team as a TLC
  8. I'm pretty sure we're still looking for editors, so if you, or anyone else who's reading this and is very skilled at english (i.e. must be really good for a native speaker), are interested in helping out, feel free to head over to the thread (https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/4951-amairo-islenauts-hacker-needed/) and let us know. It's still called "hacker needed" but we've filled that position and instead are looking for translation checkers and editors On a related note, i've finished translating chapter 5 - 3 today
  9. In case the people who were curious about the Amairo Islenauts translation thing from before are still around, I've finished translating chapter 5 part 2 today, and the hacker in the translation group I joined has put together an alpha patch for the prologue just as a test to prove that everything works
  10. It's a tie between Nisekoi and Dance in the Vampire Bund
  11. Where I am in Amairo: For those of you who can't read japanese, that says "Ohayou gozaimasu, goshujin-sama" which translates to "Good morning, master" The words pretty much every otaku longs to hear. All she is missing is a maid outfit with a short skirt
  12. Well, mine might be pokemon due to the sheer number of hours I've spent playing the series. Other than that, I'm currently playing Kancolle everyday which I really enjoy
  13. That's kind of what I thought it said too, but that doesn't really make sense in the context Ahhhhh okay, now that makes sense. Looking back at the sentence with that translation in mind makes it seem obvious to me too... ah well, thanks again for your help
  14. Context: Saginomori-sensei:「確か……これはもっと先の話になるけど、1563年にルイス・フロイスというカトリックの宣教師が来るんだ」 Saginomori-sensei:「彼が書き残した“日本史”には『日本の女性は男性と平等で、自由に過ごしている』という旨の記述がみられる」 Palamidi-san:「では、女の人にしたら昔の方が暮らしやすかったってことですか?」 Line i need help with: Saginomori-sensei: 「いや、それはどうだろうね……あー、女の子しかいない場所でこういうこと言うのはどうかと思うけど……」 This is a fairlly simple sentence, but for whatever reason, it's just not clicking, especially not in context Line afterwords in case that helps: Saginomori-sensei:「御成敗式目の中には“歩いている女性に乱暴をしちゃいけない”っていう定めもあるからね」 thank you in advance for any help you can provide
  15. so do I, i just think that rather than watch the mediocre old one, it would be better to watch fate zero first and wait for the remake, since he doesn't need to worry about spoilers, or understanding or appreciating the story or anything like that since he's already played the game
  16. Most likely it's because no one says "I won't forgive you" in casual conversation in english, whereas someone could quite easily say "I'll kill you" as an exaggerated way of saying she doesn't want someone to do something, which is precisely what that expression in japanese really means. therefore since they mean the same thing, I think it's quite reasonable to go with "I'll kill you" since that sounds less awkward
  17. he's already read the visual novel so there's no need to watch the fsn anime. instead, he should watch fate zero first and then watch fsn when the remake comes out
  18. You're so called "off-topic" is the most on topic this thread's been for a while now...
  19. Ah thank you so much, looks like I made a mistake translating the middle sentence which caused me to think I had something wrong with the whole thing. Thank you very much for your help, I really appreciate it
  20. Can anyone help me with this? I haven't been able to get any further just looking at it on my own, So any help that anyone can provide will most likely be better than what I've got now
  21. Yah, the head of the project is in the process of making a site. The site's not finished yet, but this is where you can see updates: http://sakura-subs.org/ since the site isn't finished, there are no actual updates up there yet, but you can always ask me where i am and I'll tell you. I think open communication is the key to projects being successful. I finished chapter 4 - 1 yesterday and I am just about to start working on chapter 4 - 2 Edit: we've got some actual status updates on the site now
  22. I'm not sure if i should be happy about that, or what that even means...
  23. Well I just finished chapter 4 - 1 today (just now actually). I'm not sure how many chapters there are by the end of the route, but going off of how long Dracu-riot is, I'm guessing 9 - 10 chapters from begining to the end of a route (so like 4 - 5 chapters of the common route and 4 - 5 chapters in each route). I'm in charge of the common route and Masaki's route and maybe Airi-chan's route as well. besides me there are two other translators I believe but I'm not sure if they've started yet or what they're in charge of But i've already seen some awesome CG's: Slightly NSFW NSFW
