  1. That sounds like Vive. You can play PSVR comfortably in your chair with a pad, without doing any acrobatics or needing extra space. Just saying! And it's much cheaper than the PC alternatives, assuming you own a PS4. But yeah it's definitely something that you need to try yourself to understand. I've had a chance to try a bunch of VR 'games' on different platforms and they all felt like something that (at best) would be fun for 5 minutes and you'd quickly grow tired of. So I was pretty skeptical of the concept myself too, until my hands-on PSVR experience. Well, I'll get to play the games for real soon, and will see how well the experience survives repeat use.
  2. It's a shame Summer Lesson isn't being released in the west (at least for now). Best launch title for the platform by far. I'm really picky about games in general, think I've only bought 3 for PS4 so far and I've had that for over 2 years now. But this one won me over instantly when I actually tried it on PSVR (I watched people play it on the screen last year, but didn't get to try it myself, so it only looked moderately interesting).
  3. Is anyone else hype for PSVR release? Have my Summer Lesson pre-downloaded and waiting eagerly for news of my PSVR copy shipping. Was kinda hoping to get it by tomorrow already but guess it wasn't meant to be. Disclaimer: I already tried PSVR (Summer Lesson and Resident Evil 7) at Tokyo Game Show so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. The graphics were actually more pixelated than I'd have thought, but that turned out a minor complaint next to how immersive the games were. That sense of presence is something else. I'm also speculating that PS4 Pro will increase the graphic fidelity of PSVR games, since they all run on PS4 and all games released in October and beyond must be PS4 Pro compatible (which also means they must support higher resolution and such), but no 100% confirmation on that
  4. Thank you! Easy one, Little Busters! Though I have a few other ones I'd give a perfect score to as well (such as Ever 17, Planetarian, True Rememberance and the latest addition of ENIGMA:), I'd still say that remains my favorite. Thoroughly entertaining and moving all the way. Reading through the routes for the 5th time and beyond, and they still strike home just as hard.
  5. I've really enjoyed the games so far - I have individual complaints about the actual stories (like Wanko route) but that just underlines that the series is at its best when it's not trying to be serious. The characters (and character art) and interactions are great, dialogue's mostly fun and there are enough twists and turns to keep you entertained throughout it. The overall theme is that of a slapstick version of Little Busters! with a lot of ero, and Majikoi pulls it off in its own right. The 'martial arts' aspect is so fantastic that I don't think it even matters. It could be replaced by literally any other over-the-top theme.
  6. I'm gradually unpacking the loot from my last trip to Japan. Just set up 2 new wall scrolls by Cle Masahiro:
  7. Thanks, I might just do that... hasn't exactly been stellar so far.
  8. I'm clearing my backlog from last season at the moment (only finished Re:Zero, Amanchu, Alderamin, Masou Gakuen and New Game so far). Was travelling a lot so most series got pushed into the backlog. Juggling between Momokuri, Taboo Tattoo and Love Live Sunshine now. This season doesn't seem like it'd have many interesting series, from what I've seen so far...
  9. Thanks! This isn't a company account and I'll try not to shill our games (hard as it may be to contain myself - I'm always excited when I'm working on a new game), but I'd be happy to answer any questions. We're a small company without much bureaucracy anyway. We just released a big status update for our projects (https://blog.fruitbatfactory.com/2016/09/29/status-update/) so that has the most up to date official info anyhow.
  10. Greetings to all denizens. Been following these forums for a while now and figured it looks like a nice place, so decided to make an account here myself too. I've been active in the VN translation scene since 2008 and all the talk used to be on IRC, but that's kinda quieted down so looking for a good place to freely exchange thoughts. Sadly I've found myself not having as much time as I'd like for reading visual novels (apart from our own works) recently, but that's life for you I guess. That doesn't stop me from buying them though, and my backlog grows every year... Looking forward to good times.
