  1. My thoughts..

They make Keiki an even more badass character, then kill him off! ARGhhhhgfhgfhgfh >_<

Also the series are so random lol, Nadeko wated to be a manga artist lol.

About ougi. She says she is an relative to oshino, but that is obviously a lie. But prbly not 100% a lie. She likely has some connection to him. I doubt she is human, she might be some former phenomenon oshino 'fixed' or failed to remove. The time order is a bit messed up, but Oshino was live faar of in the future when Araragi and Shinobu when into the future. Another chain of events happened but still. So Oshino is prbly still around somewhere.

Considering how messed up the author is. Ougi might acutally be oshino or something. Possesed.

  2. I'm assuming Muv luv isn't too good, from the way you're saying that it's simply needed for the sequel...

Otherwise, I think I'll start with Sharin no Kuni. :) Thanks!

Muv luv is pretty much a simple Moege (aka, fluffy high school setting) so it's not that interesting. But after you complete 2-3 routes of Muv luv, you unlock muv luv extra. Which is the real good deal, story and such. Then you got the sequel to that, which is muv luv alt. Which is prbly one of the best vn's of all time. But there is no need to rush and play it.

    Have fun playing Sharin ^^

  3. I'm quite new to this forum, obviously, from my empty profile page (I'll fix that in a bit) and just wanted to say hi to everyone on here. :)

I started reading VN's a month ago, so I've only actually read 5.

Fate was my first, and my favorites so far have been G Senjou no Maou and Grisaia no Kajitsu.

Just wondering if anyone could suggest something along the lines of those two?

If you want something between G Senjou no Maou and Grisaia no Kajitsu. Then I would suggest Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo and it's sequel Sharin no Kuni, Yuukyuu no Shounenshoujo.

It's made by the same developers as G Senjou no Maou.

Other great and similar vn's if you have already read sharin or wanted something else: Cross Channel, Muv luv Alt (you will need to read Muv luv first though), Rewrite.

  4. Currently reading Devils Devel Concept. It's hard to read, so this will be a somewhat long time reading project of mine. Also a enjoyble (frustrating) change from the easier read novels.

As for the VN itself, it's interesting. I haven't read much yet, but the characters personality and setting makes you think. Also this novel is pretty grim lol. But I like it.

  5. 1. and 2. You can use this guide to know how to set it up and use VNR

    1. Basically you use a small window and input the translation and it get's saved to the cloud server for everyone to see and access. -> 2. The translation is auto input for other to see and you.

Though, about number 2 question. It seems you are missunderstanding something I think. You can't actually input the translation into the actucal game text window. That would require hacking. VNR bypasses this by putting an extra window overlay over the game display. Hacking is ofc ideal, but it's takes time and experience and not always possible.

As far as I know the 3rd one is currently not possible.

  6. Essensially for me it's a day were I spend most of the day with my family. Visiting the grandparents and such, making food, talking, eating, drinking boose, more talking and tv, then dessert, then opening presents 1 at a time. We have a real christmas tree each year. Stockings and Rice porridge (Risgrøt). A enjoyble day with boose, great food and presents pretty much. (With some annoyences tho)

  7. Thank you! I added all of that to the list. I edited a few things in the first post too.

I considered digging up some of Clephas' posts but never got around to do it, thanks for doing it for me =p

I knew where he had posted them so luckely didn't take too long. All hail Clephas!

You really don't have anything to set up. Just download it, start it and it will hook unto the first VN it recognises. It has build in EDICT for looking up words and support for ATLAS. Here's a video guide for it.

I prefer written guides so I used this one you posted elsewhere cryofrzd: http://sakimichi.wordpress.com/2013/09/19/translating-visual-novels-without-hacking/

Some playing around my impression of it is.

Actually VNR is suprisingly good. It has loads of features. You can even use it as a substitue for ITH. It actually managed to hook the right text out when ITH failed for me. Works the same as ITH if you take away the VNR text field and make it paste the text into clipboard. Then just read with TA.

Also a very useful feature is that you can use it as overlay over the game screen. If you use a laptop with a low res or just have a low res monitor you don't need to worry about needing space for TA and the game window.

Basically If you monitor is 1366 x 768 and the game is 1280 x 720 res you are fucked with TA. But with VNR not a problem.

-Some games you can make the game window smaller dispite the high res. Usually this makes the game kinda funky and blurry. Imo that's ugly so I tend not to do that.

Additonally it has access to other peoples translations by cloud and such.
