The operation went good. I have a new liver now, and I misread the heart operation. They strengthened the inner walls in my heart and added a pacemaker. So I am well and good. Will be back home in three days.
-
Thank you for all the well wishes.
I am going in to surgery tomorrow to replace
my liver and heart. I will keep you all
updated when i get back.

Hey there everyone.
I suffered from an anxiety attack and a heart failure.
So, i wont be online for some time while i recover.
My doctor said it's because of all the medicine i take, so we are going
to discuss what i should do from now on.
I will be back as soon as possible, could take up to a week or two.
So i will see you all then.
Kind regards, Xion.

It will probably work, with some stuttering, frameskipping and slowdown.
I would recommend something a lot stronger if the intention is to emulate
PSP and Dreamcast.

Adding something without affecting the story is always just fanservice, it doesn't make the game better but it doesn't make it worse or different either (which was all I wanted to say with that). It's just nice for those who know the spinoffs I like such hidden things.
You said including the characters of the other games would change the story and the backstories, that's why I brought this point up because that's not necessalrily the case if it's hidden optional backgroundinformation which fits tha lore of the world of FF7. If you ignore it you just have the usual FF7 story.
Maybe you do enjoy seeing someone from a spin-off title and don't ponder
on WHY they are there. Me, on the other hand, if i saw one, i would question
why they were put there and what purpose do they have with the story.
So, at least for me, they can either make or break the story. And that is a risk
i don't want to experience, specially not in my favourite game.
Including them as "optional" background information still adds to the overall
story. That's why the flashback with Zack was a such a big puzzle piece to help
solve Cloud's back-story, which in turn helped you understand the deeper meaning
of the core story. And that is why the hidden information contributes to the storyline.
So, if you ignore it, you wont get the full story.
It would be like not getting Vincent in your party. If you don't have him, you wont find out
about Lucretia, and if you don't know about Lucretia, you wont know that she is the true
mother to Sephiroth, which in turn tells you that Jenova isn't Sephiroth's mother, but only
an alien lifeform that is controlling him, because he went insane when he found the incomplete
documents about the Jenova experiment. And that little hidden information contributes a lot to
the lore and core story.

I said they added something, but if you change those a bit in a way it's closer to the spinn-offs it doesn't need to change the effect that points have (Zacks death for example show it similar how it was in cirsis core for example). And it helped to understand the story better but it didn't really change the story, that's what I meant and it was just an example
That's why I said it depends on how well it's done.
In cases like Genesis of course it's not possible that way but you could include informations in another way for those who played the spin-opff.
In Dirge of Cerberus for example you could find information about "G" that way you include him without really introducing him it was not the best way to do it but something in that direction.
Other characters could be mentioned in conversations aor they even can appear without you have to change anything if necessary they could do it in a way only those who know the spinnoffs would even notice and you don't have to include every single Character from the spinnoffs.
I understand what you are saying, and with zack's death, it only made sense because it was already in
the original story, because zack is a (hidden) key character through VII.
Of course they can add some info about Genesis somewhere in the remake, like in the Shin-Ra tower
or in some books in the Shin-Ra mansion in Nibleheim. But that would be unnecessary info for those
who don't care about the spin-offs, and annoying for the ones that do care about them and wants to
see more about the character. I suppose they could add a separate room in the Shin-Ra tower, which
will contain Genesis inside, since they took his body in the end of Crisis Core, and when Dirge of Cerberus
ends, he is the one in the secret ending that takes Weiss dead body and flies off, so he must regain mobility
at some point. (which makes Advent Children weird, since he isn't mentioned there either.)
Just adding characters from the spin-offs as cameos wont serve any purpose. Just a blunt fanservice.

The dodging and the warping are the things that bothers me most about the gameplay I don't think they'll change that unfortunatly.
Concerning the sidequests and conversations: It depends on how well it's done, if I remember correctly (it's been while since I last played it) the sidemissions in the original game rarely had any effect on the main-story (the tower in Wutai or a flashback with Zack for example) tha added something, yes, but they didn't really change the story.
It's similar for conversations or flashbacks in the story it might add some additional information but doesn't need to change the story.

I only have 3 big worries about this Remeake:
1.) The Gameplay. I'm not against action based gameplay in general, but I really hate how it is in the new FFs since FF13.
2.) The Story. They said they will keep the keypoints of the story but the way tehy said it sounds very much like "We keep the most important keypoints but change everything else about the Story"
3.) That it becomes linear crap like FF13.
I wouldn't mid a few points from the spin-offs added in sidestories or adding it to the flashbacks or conversations that's not necessarily a bad thing and doesn't have to alter the original story.

Hey there people!
I would like to talk with all of you (who are interested),
about the remake of Final Fantasy VII.
Now, i am what you might call a "Hardcore Fanboy"
when it comes to this game. I played it the first time
in 1997 and haven't put down the controller yet.
Always looking for hidden information, clues about
character origins, forbidden passages, and so on.
I have played and studied Final Fantasy VII for about
18 years now (including spin-offs, movies and non-canon
games), and have nailed down most things about that
universe. The lore is somewhat hazy, thanks to the sequel's
Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus, and the prequels
Before Crisis, Crisis Core and Last Order. With these titles
there has been a lot of changes to the storyline, which i am
not a fan of at all. So, the things i want to discuss is:
- Inclusion of new characters
- How will the Remake rewrite the storyline?
- Revamping of old characters
- Specific events they should not touch
- Battle System
- World Map changes
- Changes to Towns and Villages
- Music
Inclusion of New Characters
When i say new characters, i mean those that were not
in the original storyline. Like, Cissnei (from BC and CC),
Angeal (from CC) and Genesis (from CC and DoC).
I really have a huge problem with having characters
from the spin-offs appear in the remake, and that is because
of the simple fact of; 'They were not there in the original'.
The inclusion of these characters (possibly more), will absolutely
change the storyline (at least a little), and if they have to change
the storyline, they will have to change the back-story of the
characters that were in the original. That might not seem like a
big deal to you, but to me (and all others who are like me), will
have an issue with the changes. But what do you think?
Will it be better with the addition of these characters?
How will the Remake rewrite the storyline?
That is a tough nut to crack, but i have a few ideas of how
those might be. For example: The addition of the characters from
the spin-offs (read the above comment).
But my main point would be; 'New Players'.
Final Fantasy VII has a simple to understand storyline if you just
play from start to finish. But if you start digging into it, and examine
the characters back-stories, the events and flashbacks, then you have
a new and improved epic story to enjoy.
And i believe that it wont be like that any more, because of today's gamers.
Most gamers today want a fast-paced, action packed game. And yes, FFVII
is action packed in some parts, but it is not fast-paced. The fear for me is
that they will make it like FFXIII; fast, linear, action everywhere and so on.
What i do hope however, is that they keep as much as possible to the original
and maybe make the world map like FFXV.
Revamping of old characters
This is probably my biggest fear. The changes to the original characters.
With Tetsuya Nomura always wanting to "improve" on the characters he has
created, we will most definitely see changes to the original cast. We have
already gotten a few glimpses at what they may look like, from examining
them from the prequels and sequels, that way we can get a rough idea on
how they might look. I do hope that they don't stray away from the original
to much.
Specific events they should not touch
What i mean is that i don't want any changes to those, more then a graphical
upgrade. A few of those are; Shin-Ra tower slaughter, Aerith's death scene,
the "Who am i?" and "Who are you?" scenes, the first meeting with vincent,
Nibleheim Massacre, and a few more.
Battle System
Since this isn't the 90's any more, and everyone wants a fast-paced action scene,
we can forget about the Turn-based battle system from the original. And maybe
get a battle system like from Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy XV.
Although, i do hope they keep the turn-based system.
World Map Changes
Oh yes, there are going to be a lot of changes to the world map.
The world map is extremely large, and to make that into a game for today
would be a suicide mission. They are most likely to make it into sections,
and make those sections small. For ease of travelling before you get any
vehicles, or catch any chocobo's.
Changes to Towns and Villages
The places you visit are most likely to be rather small and boring to look at.
So they are probably going to make them larger, with more NPC's and more
things to do, instead of having just an Inn and a shop.
Music
Holy shit. This is something i am looking forward to.
I love the OST so much, but having it updated and with Nobou Uematsu
rocking it, it can only get better.
Deleted a lot of text to keep it short.
So, what are your thoughts and feeling towards the remake?
I really want to know what other think.
And keep the trolling to a minimum, thanks.

Hey^^
I played the real card game when I was younger. I had every card possible, up to the point that I quit. So it's available for Ipad, I wonder if it's available for Android as well, so that I can fuel my addiction again

This is my current desktop.
The wallpaper changes every 1 minute between
hentai, anime, gore, and other things i like.
Btw, the image may be super-sized.
Didn't crop it.

I would rather go with the Penumbra series.
Amnesia wasn't that good in my opinion.
But hey, it's free. So go nuts.

All right, here goes.
Are you sure about this?
Are you really sure?
Really?
All right, here you go.
