  1. I know this thread is a bit older, but I just wanted to add my two cents. I enjoyed some of the routes from the game. The student council President route was very well done. It continued to go on for quite awhile after they got together. It even had it's own plot. However, the main two girls, Konomi and the other childhood friend, had extremely disappointing routes. Since I liked these 2 girls, I was looking forward their routes, but you play through what seems like a never ending common route for 20 - 40 hours, then you have a confession + h-scene and thats it. It doesn't show them dating or anything else at all. I was a little bit shocked at the sudden endings since with VN is so widely known and well respected. It's really a shame because both of these characters would of made for some entertaining events. I DO appreciate the translation of this visual novel. I've just always had a Love/Hate relationship with the writers a of Japanese media. I'm a little older than probably many of the visual novel readers around here, and I like reading about romance. When I do read romance, I don't want to wait for the last two pages before the confession actually happens like in about 90% of Romance Manga, I want to be able to see them has a couple for at least a little while before it ends. One of my favorite visual novels is "A drug that makes you Dream" and the routes start branching off early into 3 separate stories and they become romantic very early. I wish more followed this format. It's a really unique VN and a must read for anyone.
  2. Yeah I would really like to know too... especially since Ame's ending left me feeling so sad.
  3. I played Umi's route, Nagisa's route and Shiori's route. I don't really have an interest in the remaining routes. Umi was really cute and had a cute personality, but overall, this is probably the most boring visual novel I've ever read. The little bit of drama that does exist was really dumb. The game is super padded with way too much conversation. I guess it means I'm not a big fan of moege. There's just no plot and even though I did enjoy the well done art and some of the music, I need more that just cuteness to get me through a visual novel.
  4. hehe, quick and too the point. I started playing the 2nd one and there are just too many female characters now. I think have so many heroins diminishes the value of each.
  5. YES, I would be willing to bet my entire savings on it. It may be 2 or 3 years away, maybe even 4, but it's coming sooner or later. Why do I have this opinion? It's like this, you have been reading manga, light novels, watching anime, or even playing visual novels very long, then your probably well aware that the Japanese milk their media for every penny they can get out of it. If somethings popular, then it keeps coming until sales start to decline. (The Bleach Manga is an excellent example) Heck, the Japanese even split the Steve Jobs autobiography into 2 volumes. There are sequels and alternative versions of older visual novels coming out all the time. Remakes took. Look at the White Album, they made a remake and then a sequel about 10 years after the original. I think. There's even visual novels that are up to their 8th sequel. (Alicesoft) So yeah, I think there will be more. It may be a while, but It will happen. I just hope they don't add another 10 more girls and make the game even more crowded. The 2nd game has too many characters for my taste. I felt like protagonist was just a spectator most of the time. If an when they do make a 3rd one, I think the best idea would be to start it with all the current characters graduating and then start it with a whole new class. I think the current protag has had plenty of sex and romance with all the girls. Of course it would be cool if in the next game he was the prim-minister of Japan and his wife Shiina Miyako as a teacher at the school. She was the only girl in my eyes for the whole game. Her hardcore loyalty moved me and plus I would like to see a 30 year old sexy version of her punishing loud students. She was great. Just my 2 cents. Jeffrey
  6. I played the original game when it first came out, but then they came out with the newer version. What is the differnce between the versions? Jeffrey
  7. So many dead projects... There is always some new guy popping up and announcing a new visual novel translation project, but what I really wish is that some of these guys would work together and start trying to finsh some of these dead projects. I too want to read Dracu Riot, but without the main heroine's route translation, it would only be a tease. So many good visual novels need to be finished. A few off the top of my mind are To Heart (I cant remember if its 1 or 2, of course Dracu Riot, hatsui (another classic) and I can think of a few more but I just can't spell them. Remeber that ghost girl that comes out of the drawer? Anyway, I'm on my 3rd year of Japanese language study and my reading is getting better. When I get good enough to be able to get some translation done, I won't forget my brothers and I work on finsihing up some of this stuff. Jeffrey
  8. I just finsihed the whole thing. Man, it was so long. I enoyed it, it was a fun read and I even found myself getting attached to a few of the characters and now I feel like I miss them. I know it's dumb, but when you spend so much time reading the story and listening to their voices, it's hard not to get attached to you favorites. The drama comes real late in the game but for the most part it doesn't carry on too long. I found myself yelling at the screen a couple of times wishing I could speak for the protaganist. At least for the most part, the endings are all happy, I'm the kind of guy when I really get into one of these Visual Novels, I just can't put it down until I finish it and if your like that, it's best not to start this one unless you have 3 - 4 days of freetime coming up. I do think it was too long. If nothing else, I would prefer they shorten the thing and had added a few more routes. I was suprised at all the extra prominent characters that didn't have routes. I've been studying Japanese for about 2 and a half years but I am by no means fluent, even so, I'm going to read the afterstories on the fan disks. I hope they are good and not just a collection of comedy skits. This is by no means one of the best english visual novels, but it's still worth reading.
  9. I did too, I totaly fell for her. Her scenes had a little more sex appeal as well. I wasn't satisfied with her ending though. It needed an epiloge.
  10. It's easy to explain all my points away by saying she wanted him to be happy and and yada yada yada. but ... also, keep in mind that these are teenagers. In most matters, they even act like teenagers, but as in most visual novels, when it comes to love and self sacrifice for the sake of your partner's happiness, then all of a sudden they act like they're 60 years old. Anyway, it's just a story. When I read one of these, it sometimes leave feeling down for several days and I have to remind myself it's just a story. I'm not gona gripe about anymore. cya guys.
  11. I just finished the whole visual novel and I did find it interesting and entertaining. I must of enjoyed it because I did finish it. But there are so many instances of characters defying logic for the sake of the plot and it drives me nuts. One thing I wondered from the very beginning is how come chris never once thought about going home for the weekend to visit his girlfriend. When I was in college, I was back home every weekend for my girlfriend or she came up there and it was a full day drive. But it never seemed to enter his mind. Of course if he would of made a suprise visit home, he would of found out what was really going on. Torta/ AL fine route : Phornie's route I guess overall, even though it was an interesting story, It just seemed like a lot of the characters lacked emotion at certain times. I don't know how to explain it. It just lacked somthing at times.
  12. Comment about Lise's route. I thought lise was really cute and I could see the plot twist coming. But there was somthing that I found not only ilogical, but also annoyed me. And for my 3rd comment, I didn't get a good ending for Lise's route. I even tried again using a walkthrough but it was still a sad ending no matter how you look at it. Disapointing. After reflection, one more comment about lise's ending ...
  13. There's a lot of hype surrounding the little sister route in this game so I was expecting to be blown away by it. Now that I've played it, all I can really say is that it's ok. I didn't hate it, but I also don't think it's an award winning route either. The mysterious loli route was a serious and touching route and I absolutely loved it. However, I found the imouto route to be more along the lines of silly comics relief. For starters, I never did understand how they could even be blood related siblings. Also, she was so incredibly dumb/ Her intelligence level seems to be about that of a 8 year old. There was a little drama near the end of the route but it all got settled a little to easy. I went ahead and played through Sakurai's route even though I didn't understand a lot of what was going on near the end. I wish their was a route for the sister's best friend.
  14. I just did the ghost girls route and I have to admit, it was a pretty good read and I badly needed something sweet after spending the last few days on such a downer like Aiyoku no Eustia. The story was nice and romantic with just the right amount drama. The drama wasn't so much that you feel like puking, it was just enough to make for a well rounded story. To those of you that have the problem of the game crashing at decision #17, all you have to do is save the game before that question and put the original Japanese files back in place. Then play through question 17 and save the game. Now you can put the translated data files back and get rid of the Japanese data and your good to go. Also one more thing, The graphics were quite good considering the game is from 2003. They have held up pretty well over time. The writing was good too, but the H-scenes were among the worst. They were not sexy or erotic at all. I don't think it's a spoiler of me to tell you what they consisted of, but if you don't want to know, don't read the rest of this post. ******* H Scene ********** There were 2 for ghost girl and I've only done one so far for the sister. But basically they went like this. No for-play, or touching or holding or anything like that. The girls didn't even take their tops off and I was so looking forward to some flat chests. The girls just pulled their panties down and bent over a wall or a tree and the guy quickly did the deed and that was it. I remember my 1st time with my 1st high school girlfriend. I wanted to see and touch everything, I would not of been happy with a quick bend over job. Matter of fact, I remember being more excited about the looking and touching than the actual deed. Anyway, the story was good enough that the H-scenes didn't ruin it, but they were the only real low point of the game. I kind of don't get it either, If I was part of a VN making team, I would want to produce spectacular H scenes. There you go, Jeffrey
  15. Hey, I would like Gift as well. I have the Japanese version. I've been looking for the English version for a long time and it's nowhere to be found. Why they removed it from the app store, I'll never know. I heard the translation was bad, but I don't really care. You would think more VN makers would translate their stuff info English for the app store. I mean this would be their chance to sell their products worldwide. Even if they don't make the kind of sales in the US as they do in Japan, surly they would make enough to pay a translator. Other than paying a translator, they have nothing to loose. I just don't get those guys. There's a ton of Japanese visual novels in iTunes. I have a few of them. The one I really want right now is L@ve once. Please post that Gift. Thanks, Jeffrey
