I don't think that Kotarou and Taichi are that similar... I haven't played Rewrite in a while but I don't don't remember Kotarou being anything like Taichi. Maybe I'm just forgetting. They both are amazing though. I wasn't aware that they had the same writer. That's interesting. It's no wonder that I like them both so much. Also, I was thinking about playing Umineko next and what you just said was pretty persuasive. I had never really heard anything about Umineko's protag (not that I've done much research). It's nice to know that he's not a bad character.

Rewrite~ Kotarou was really funny but could also be pretty badass. Cross Channel~ I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion. I understand why some people might hate him but I think that he was extremely interesting and well developed.

Wow, lots of attractive people! Haha, that's great. Not many girls have posted a picture so I feel the need. Ignore the derpy face I'm making.

A lot of english otome games are all ages, although most of them are not very good.

So here's one that no one has mentioned so far. Although, I guess it's not that surprising as it seems not many people here read BL games. Tomoaki from Hadaka Shitsuji is an irredeemable piece of trash. I read through one route of that VN and no protagonist has ever pissed me off so much. I downloaded that terrible game when I just started playing visual novels and it almost made me stop reading them because it was so terrible. I can never unsee some of the things he did to the butlers.

My biggest unpopular opinion is that Steins;Gate is not nearly as good as everyone says it is. I went in with really high expectations. After about an hour of playing I wanted to strangle Okabe. Pretty much all of the characters annoyed me to different extents, especially Mayuri. The only character I genuinely liked was Kurisu. She was actually a really good, interesting character. If only the rest of the characters could have been like her... And the plot was draggy. The only things going for that VN are the beautiful art and Kurisu. I have no idea how I even got through the entire thing.

So, I finally decided to stop lurking and make an account because the community seems really nice. I have been reading visual novels for a few years and would like to actually discuss some of them. As I am sure a lot of you know, finding people in real life to talk to about visual novels can be a bit difficult. As for what visual novels I like to read... Pretty much everything as long as it's a good story. A few of my favorites are Cross Channel, Little Busters!, Dramatical Murder, Saya no Uta and G-senjou no Maou. I am currently reading Muv Luv Alternative (finally lol) and I'm really enjoying it. Thanks for reading and hope to see you in the Fourms~
