Muv Luv Alternative is killing me slowly.

Yeah. It'll do that. Trust me. I was feely-dead for a good week after Muv Luv Alternative, and I still shudder when I think about it. I'm not sure if it's really -bad- on the feels end, it's just... Messed up. I refuse to touch overly dramatic VN's and super feely things because of it. I've got my eyes on you, Alternative.

Ah, I have been putting off reading the very end. It's been a really long ride and I'm not sure if I can take it. ;_; Lol. I really need to get around to finishing it. I have a love/hate relationship with overly dramatic VNs. I hate that they make me sad but I also love the story. I usually suffer through it anyway. I feel like most writers are sadists. (I know I usually am when I write. *kills off all the characters*)

lol, that's awful, Shiki. But yeah, by the end of Alternative, I wanted to punch my screen. Mostly because the feels were so good, and so bad at the same time. The story was great, it was an amazing ride, but FUUUUU arghh! >
I didn't want it to be over, but by the end, I knew I couldn't possibly handle any more. Never again will I touch Alternative. >_> Ever, ever! Definitely my all time favorite, though.

That is so messed up. From what I have personally seen, this is inaccurate. Of course, I have seen terrible relationships like that but that picture doesn't apply to everyone. People are unique and carry many possibilities with them.

Thank you for this thread. I am actually struggling with writers block myself at the moment. I never thought about the purple elephants thing before and it could possibly be the answer to this annoying "great wall of blanking out". The other tips have been helpful too. I'll probably end up making an instrumental music playlist on YouTube to listen to while I write.

Thank you, I will probably give it a shot. It's at least worth trying. I have taken medication to help me sleep before but it never worked well and I usually woke up feeling worse than usual. Eh, I don't know, maybe trying something natural will actually work. It sucks that it didn't work for you though. Have you gotten over your sleeping problems? (Assuming you have them lol)

I also go to school without sleeping lol~ You feel the pain. I used to go to my part time job after that but I quit recently. I think that I probably have insomnia as well? I can't sleep even when I lie down a lot of the time... Yes, you should. Psh no, hypocrisy? What is that?

Confession: I am almost always sleep deprived because I stay up too late playing VNs, watching anime or mindlessly searching the internet. I always hate myself for it the next day but I don't stop doing it. Like right now, I should really be sleeping.

I bought Tokyo Ghoul Re volume one in Japanese even though I can't read it, Air the complete anime series, and an Attack on Titan water bottle. What? It was five dollars with any purchase at FYE.

I think you should try Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo. It has a protagonist that is really great much like Kyousuke. It is actually made by the same developers as G-Senjou no Maou. I found both of the games to be very good and if you like one, you will probably like the other. Plus, the fan disc is also translated, which I also recommend you play. If you don't mind comedy in the common route you should try Grisaia no Kajitsu, it has a great protagonist if not slightly OP... But it's kind of justified? Anyway, that game is great as well.

When I eventually become a mother I wouldn't even have to think about it, I would save my child. I made it. It's half of me. In a way, it's almost like saving myself. Humans are selfish. It's debatable that the most selfish choice is to die and let your child/spouse live. They would have to live on with the pain of losing the both of you and you get to die a hero.

Okay, so I've never read this and do not plan to but I remember looking for translated VNs and finding this terrible thing. Shiyouchuu ~W.C.~ Here is the vndb premise: A multi-character, multi-path game. This game allows you to choose one of five different female characters and play through different scenarios from that character's point of view. The catch is that all of these girls (with an exception) have problems related to going to the bathroom and the solutions to their problems range from absurd to horrifying. Yeah, that exists and was translated. Of course its ratings are terrible and it's just weird fetish porn but still... Who thinks of this stuff?
