  1. I believe its the reason why MLE-MLU-MLA trilogy is so great overall. Going from your typical sweet light-hearted school harem into THAT and even further delivers unforgettable emotional impact. Makes you believe that BETAs are real extinction threat rather than cannon fodder for PC. Its the only VN I still keep re-reading every few monthes, even tho I hated its ending.
  2. I liked some of them. But the point is — you either play side-routes first (and preferrably in correct order) or do not at all, because they are too silly Modo edit: spoiler tags
  3. Yeah, RusAnon is just Rus[sian] Anon[ymous].

I don't remember using this nick on russian sites, usually I post about VNs only on *chans and g+, but I don't keep track of sites I've registered at.

  4. VN Name: Gekkou no Carnevale VNDB link: http://vndb.org/v102 Is there already a translation project for this? I believe there was an attempt several years ago, but it was abandoned. There was also russian translation of trial version, but team dissolved and does not plan to translate whole game. Hack/no hack: Doesn't matter, I can make proper patch out of VNR dump myself. Why do you want it to be TLed: (please at least 2 sentences..) Nitroplus, gothic robotic maid-killers, absolutely stunning CG, dark atmosphere. Other info [optional]: I can provide scripts to extract/compile game data, all work on it is already done.
  5. I find using walkthrougs from beginning much more sane choice than not using them at all. In most cases I'm aiming for 100% completion anyway, and hunting for "that missing cg" by hand is nightmare. Moreover, there are games like G-Senjou where not following correct order of routes will spoil you all the fun, or like Kara no Shoujo which are so complex [and annoying in terms of non-scrollable content] that you will give up long before you could test all combinations of choices. Plus there are border-line VNs like Gust's games (Ar Tonelico and Atelier series) or Eushully's or Alice Soft's, which have significant amount of non-VN gameplay which can be quite tedious w/out help. I've clocked well over 200 hours on Kamidori even with wiki and quest/items/dungeons/skills/recipes spreadsheets around, knowing some stuff in advance made it more fun and [a bit] less grind.
