Like any company that goes bankrupt ever... Their ips were acquired by different companies after. Deep Blue Posted March 3, 2015 Share Posted March 3, 2015 most of the time (I don't know the facts behind this company) this types of companies go bankrupt because they got incompetent people as managers, they dont know anything about what they are doing and sooner or later this happens AKA THQ, Interplay, etc. Most of the time they are "acquired" by another big company or refunded by old members but with another name. Decay Posted March 4, 2015 Share Posted March 4, 2015 We can't claim that their titles didn't sell well enough? Ever17 is beloved here but was that series really successful? Here's another question, how successful do you think their other flagship franchise, Memories Off, really was? It was an all-ages bishoujo romance series. How many guys are there who buy those kinds of titles if they aren't from Key? By all accounts the Memories Off titles are pretty average and offer no porn to draw that crowd in, so it is my guess that it's that franchise that sunk the company. Clephas Posted March 4, 2015 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Mmm... from what I heard, their finances were always borderline, especially with their bad habit of taking on projects that had no chance of making them a decent return.
