Hiding the Sidebar

Recommended Posts

I'm sure there's a tech reason (which is beyond me), but removing the sidebar isn't a planned feature atm: a lot of the experimentation coming in the next few weeks will involve it.

Sorry, monsieur lewy.

I'm not talking about removing it.

I'm talking about the feature of hiding it. It doesn't work.

Sorry, I'll try to be clearer:

I'm not really sure why that's happening. When I try it in Chrome and Firefox, clicking the "X" does minimize the sidebar and stays that way even after refreshing the index.

In the next few weeks, if the sidebar minimization feature disappears altogether, it'll be due to our experiments, not a software error.

Alright. No worries Tay :)

Can you be more clear clear Tay? :P

Like when you say it works for you when you 'minimize' do you mean 'hide' because at the moment we can minimize each section in the side bar and it stays minimized upon refresh, but completely hiding the side bar doesn't stay hidden upon refresh.

Minimize stays minimized upon refresh

Hiding doesn't stay hidden upon refresh.

The thread was about hiding the sidebar :)

Not about hiding each section

This seems to be a bug on your side Lewy, are you using anything that blocks cookies and/or JavaScript (since they get set by JavaScript)?

The cookie value in question (you can check it in a proper browser, no idea about Opera (suck it)):

On an unrelated note: Storing password hashes client side, really IPB...
