Time for an update.

How many senses do human beings have?

At least nine.

in addition to the five commonly known senses (taste, touch, sight, smell and hearing) we have:

1. Thermoception - a sense of heat on our skin.

2. Equilibrioception - a sense of balance (determined by fluids in ear cavities).

3. Nocieception - a sense of pain from skin, joints and organs.

4. Proprioception - also known as "body awareness" this is the sense that allows us to know where our body and it's limbs are even when we can't see them.

Some neurologists think there are even more senses (some up to twenty-one) such as hunger, thirst, depth, sense of meaning, language and even a sense of impending danger when your hair stands on end.

I feel like the depends on how you define "sense" though.

Presumably this is going by how neurologists define a "sense". this isn't too inconceivable given that some animals have very interesting senses; Sharks have electroception to detect electromagnetic fields and birds have magnetoception to detect magnetic fields.

So, here's one that is fairly commonly-known but which I still find interesting: why is a clear sky blue?

The atmosphere scatters higher-frequency light (e.g., blue) more strongly than it scatters lower-frequency light (e.g., red). So, when the sun's not in the direct path between you and the atmosphere, it's more likely for it to scatter blue light in your direction than red light.

This is also why we see a redder sky at sunrise and sunset: higher-frequency light gets scattered out of line of sight, leaving behind lower-frequency (red, orange) light when the sun is more directly in line of sight.

What man made structure can be seen from the moon with the naked eye?

Wrong

Nothing man made can be seen from the moon. The Great Wall of China can be seen from space, but space only starts a mere 100kms from the surface. in fact, no man made structure can be seen after a few thousand kilometers, so naturally nothing can be seen from 400,000kms away.

Those all sound like subdivisions of touching  (except 2)

I have one too
