  1. Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is quickly becoming one of my favorites as well. Dat Rikka. I'm looking forward to Tokyo Magnitude, I always hear good things about it.
  2. Lucky Star is goofy fun from the bits my sister showed me. Welcome and hope to see you around in the forums!
  3. Good luck! My dad used a DS game to teach himself. After a year, he can conduct basic conversations. As long as you're patient and keep at it, you can do it. Sadly, I'm not patient
  4. Welcome! I'm new here as well. You'll find that everyone here is very nice, almost too nice. It's scary Anyway, hope you enjoy it here and also, I freaking love that avatar. Ringo Mogire Beam!
  5. It really doesn't matter where you start. Xenogears and Xenosaga while technically sharing the same universe, really don't have any relation to each other. Xenosaga is a series of 3 games none of which are on the PSN. So you'll have to get your PS2 and buy all 3 games. Xenogears is on the PSN for $10 I think, so it's fairly cheap. Gears has those typical mix of PS1 sprites and 3-D scenes so it looks far worse than Saga. Also Gears translation is pretty funky though game play wise, it uses an ATB while Saga uses slower paced turn based battles in all 3 games. Sooo in short.... it doesn't matter where you start. I guess if you don't want to start 3 games, go ahead and play Gears. I hear the second part of Gears was heavily budgeted and suffers from a massive quality drop. Maybe Wolfscythe can confirm that.
  6. I haven't seen this thread yet, but if there is one, feel free to delete this. Anyway, what are your favorite anime? Mine is the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei saga. It was my introduction to anime aside from Persona 4, and I couldn't have picked a crazier anime. It's just one big satire of Japanese culture with plenty of insane situations. The plot is essentially a suicidal teacher and his class of crazy students. Words dont do the insanity justice, so here's an opening from one of the seasons. Insanity
  7. Yeah, it's not chronological correct? I didn't even know there were PSP ones. I know there is a Vita one coming out.
  8. Haven't gotten into the Altelier series yet, though it is something I want to play (Iris would be the first right?). I have Mana Khemina and I hear those are set in the same universe along with one more series I can't seem to remember. So it's just a matter of time. Emi's was fun, but it was shallow. Rin's just required thought which instantly made it more interesting to me at least.
  9. I beat the Xenosaga series and it is my favorite series of games to date (or at least impacted me the most). That being said, I cannot seem to get into Xenogears. I play for about 3-5 hours and just lose interest. I don't know what the problem is, granted Xenosaga took about 10 hours to hook me.
  10. You could say, "I, Andergate of Fuwanovel, welcome thee to the most amazing forum that hath ever graced the interwebs and I hope thou enjoy thy stay." Yeah, that works.
  11. Playing through Ever17 and I plan on playing Hatoful Boyfriend soon because birds.
  12. Instead of quoting all the questions, I'll answer them in one beautiful post. I absolutely love the Persona series and I'm playing P2 Innocent Sin right now (or on and off more like). I havent gotten into other SMT games much (4-5 hours into Nocturne, 20 into Devil Summoner) thanks to BF3 among many other games. On Katawa Shuojo I have done Emi's arc and Rin's arc. I really really loved Rin's story as it was much deeper than Emi's. With Ever 17, its just so mysterious. When I play, I can't stop because I want to know everything. Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm sure you'll see me around asking noobish questions before too long. Final thing, to whoever makes the Bruce Wayne dating sim, I will give you my bank account. That is all.
  13. The first game was amazing. Pretty sure I logged 30 some hours in one week to finish it (which is a big deal for me). The second game loses what made the first feel special. The main cast of characters is pretty predictable and generic while the maps are much, much smaller. I just can't enjoy beating a map as much as it feels disjointed to me.
  14. Hey everyone, I'm solidbatman. I'm pretty new to visual novels only having played a couple Katawa Shuojo arcs and Analogue: A Hate Story. I'm currently playing through the arcs of Ever 17 at the moment. I'm a pretty big anime and JRPG fan. Also, I'm an avid Battlefield 3 (consololol) player. Lastly, Batman is awesome.
