I know this is primarily a VN community and all, but I wanted to see if anyone else was interested in this. I personally am due to playing the Witcher series, and knowing how awesome CD Projekt is~ Its based on the pen-n-paper role playing game Cyberpunk 2022 I believe. The game itself will take many concepts from the roleplay apparently :V As mentioned, I am excited for this. I haven't really played Key games before(Nor watched any anime, besides Angel Beats, if that counts), is this a good one to start off with? Or should I go with something like Little Busters(Ecstasy if possible, due to new routes) or Clannad?

Seconding the Narcissu recommendation! Get Narcissu Side 2nd, has the prequel and the original both in one. Absolutely beautiful x sad story. I literally emptied two-three tissue boxes reading it, it affected me that much ;o; Soundtrack helped a lot there: More: Tsukihime - Its by the same people who did Fate, and came before it. Shares the same universe as Fate! Don't let the artstyle turn you off, its absolutely amazing! Digital: A Love Story - Its a western visual novel, and its bloody brilliant at that! Don't take it personally babe, it just ain't your story - Spiritual sequel to the above, amazing as well~ Analogue: A Hate Story - Same author as the above two, another worthy read~ Umineko no Naku Koro Ni/Umineko no Naku Koro Ni Chiru - Again, don't let the art style throw you off(Much more so here), hands down one of the best reads out there! Check out the Uminekp Tweak patch thing if you can't stand the art style at all :V Has great music~: ...Er, avoid reading them youtube comments, most likely a lot of spoilers in there >> Red Shift - Its a short, kinetic novel, and barely anyone I know has read this. But, I enjoyed this a lot personally, and therefore am recommending it. You can complete it within 6 hours I guess? Faster if you are, well, a fast reader >>;

Here's something that might change that: They are supposedly adding the originally cut out Sacchin path :3 The Tsuki remake news is pretty old actually, though the designs are definitely new, guess this means its now an actual thing, hell, yes! <3 Love em, Ciel looks amazing especially, and I wasn't the biggest fan of her route! (KOHAKU ROUTE MASTER RACE~)

Best thing to do is to try one out yourself instead of checking out reviews~ Also, if you don't like Harvest Moon, try Rune Factory instead, several people who didn't like HM(Me for example) fell in love with RF~

Sadly, I am one of the people who didn't like the ending much, though unlike others it hasn't ruined the franchise for me, its still a great series, just not the absolute best it could potentially have become for me. Er, I get the feeling I may be coming across as a 'no fun' guy or something here, not trying to do so. Sorry, I did a bit of a mistake there. The story itself in general is not in chronological order, books or the films. Its meant to be watched that way. Also, try wiki'ing stuff you don't understand, and perhaps playing Type-Moon's VN's such as Tsukihime or Fate, since all their material share some concepts~ Many of their concepts/the universe are also explained via magazines and what not from what I know, so yeah.

The films aren't in chronological order, that's probably the reason why. And they shouldn't be watched in chronological order either~

Tsukihime is bloody amazing, this could be just me, but I feel the characters and plot are better than Fate/Stay Night actually, not to say F/SN is bad though. The protagonist is just kickass as well! People like me also hope it gets an anime adaption by ufotable someday~ There totally isn't an anime already, its just a rumor, pay it no heed. However, if you absolutely cannot stand the art, you could wait for a remake, there's been a rumor that Type-Moon will eventually remake the game with the Sacchin route added back in, which would be, excuse my language, absolutely fucking badass <3 I suggest you try playing it yourself once, the Arcueid route that is, and see for yourself whether you wish to stick with it~

Its fun(in general), and also funny game. The gameplay itself is great as well, and requires some thinking~ Story isn't too deep like some VN's, but its still a good read, don't expect amazing complexity and you should like it! BTW, take what I say with a bit of salt, reason being that I am highly, HIGHLY easy to please when it comes to any form of entertainment, there are better sources to get an opinion from haha. Also, thanks for quoting that. I actually forgot I had completed the route, ended up deleting the saves by mistake recently and thought I would've have to redo the whole thing... I don't even remember how I fought the Demon Army, had no diviners >>; Maybe I cheated or something, dunno.

Type-Moon can be very confusing at times, I am pretty sure my own brain is going melt trying to think through various scenario's, plus I am not the most knowledgeable even being a TM fanboy @@;

Sword Art Online - If Yuki Kajiura wasn't present, I would've passed this over completely. ATM I am watching it only because of her and because virtual reality is awesome~ Speaking of virtual reality: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1523379957/oculus-rift-step-into-the-game ^Can't wait to see where that leads, it could be a complete revolution for gaming! Favorite route - UBW Heroine - Saber Servant - THE FABULOUS INCARNATE MAN CLAD IN GOLDEN ARMOR Rin is cool, but she seems as much as I hate to say it, very much like a typical tsundere character(Though 10 times better). Akiha from Tsukihime was much better as a tsundere. Sakura was the same case, I liked the route and everything and her as well, but again, Kohaku from Tsuki surpasses her. I guess its just my opinion though >>;
