If you have read any of my earlier posts you should know what FD is about.

      Reveal hidden contents

FD is only about Yuuko. If you want more spoilers:

      Reveal hidden contents

They throw the true end of main game to trash and start with Yuuko coming to school and dreams while Alice still also exists in dream world. All the routes that happened in the main game were dreams and are now scattered as pieces and you visit the dreams one by one (excuse to put porn for other heroines) while trying to find balance between Alice and Yuuko.

    Spoiler

Whaaaat, so the other heroines get shat on? It was bad enough that they forget everything in the epilogue.

Overall it was a really good read so I don't regret reading it. But yeah, that ending...

You sure this is a wise idea? NekoNyan might pick this title down the road.

I'd rather want them to pick Making Lovers instead, but yes this. Going by how well received Fureraba was, it wouldn't surprise me if NN decided to license the whole SMEE catalog.

If you decide to go on with this project, at least release a prologue patch so we can judge the quality of the TL.

  3. From the hints Chuee gave off because he can't keep his mouth shut:

    -Neither will be Favorite title.

-Both will be from new partners.

There's a good chance one of them is AoKana...

I want to believe. Some people are fear mongering that it'll be SakuraGame that gets it. It makes perfect sense too, given that they tend to overpay for their licenses and that Sprite is in quite a tight spot financially.

Still, I want to believe it will be NekoNyan that gets Aokana. I will literally KMS if they don't.

It's complete. What's there left to fix? Only that I saw or notice in the latest fakku edition are the same two lines that christantoan found in Reina's Extra scene. But besides that nothing unusual.

    https://www.fakku.net/forums/games/maitetsu-fixes-and-updates

-Missing voice lines have been fixed.
-Some monologue lines that did not play have been corrected.
-Cut off lines in various scenes have been repaired.
-Memory leak issues causing random crashes have been fixed.
-Various other small bugs related to tips & backlog have been fixed.
Basically, stuff that Heliosaurus couldn't fix but Fakku did.

    -Upskirt CG restored.
    -Hachiroku in panties restored.
-Preview thumbnails have been updated to reflect restored CGs
This was included in his patch so no problem here.

-Hachiroku nipple CG has not been restored as per request by the original Japanese developer Lose.
-Towels & steam will not be removed from the bath scenes as per request by the original Japanese developer Lose.
Basically the only stuff that needs to be restored now.

So, if I'm correct, the only stuff left to do is make a new patch with the missing stuff from the bottom list or upgrade the current patch with the fixes of the top list.

Or is the patch compatible with the fixes of the top list and there's no need to do anything?

What needs to be accepted is that translation is a lossy process and will never be a 100% faithful reproduction since it's impossible to convey all nuances, cultural references etc in another language. On that I'm sure most of us agree. What isn't understood well enough, unless you've been a translator yourself, is something that Clephas has said - the honorifics themselves may serve a purpose in the story and often do. To that end, what matters more - to weigh in with my opinion - is how much localisation the original text can "tolerate". Given translation's "lossy" nature, if honorifics are a huge part of the story - and they often are in charage where characters alter their speech according to familiarity and over time - then there will be far more loss in the story should the honorifics not have an English equivalent (and they usually don't.) That still doesn't make it wrong to remove honorifics if that's the style one wishes to go with; it's just much harder to convey the nuance in the original text without them. I've done it both ways now, and leaving honorifics in makes it extremely easy while removing them when they're a big part of the story itself is many many times trickier to get right without losing a significant part of the story. So in my case, I'd say it depends entirely on how important they are to the story as to whether I'd prefer to leave them in. I'm currently working on a translation without them and most of the team discussion is spent trying to nut out what would otherwise be a simple part of the translation as they actually play a big part in this charage. This one doesn't "tolerate" the loss as well as other ones might, so we have to work much harder to try and fill that loss.

Is this the project you're talking about?

If a big part of the time spent on team discussion is on how to remove honorifics while keeping relationship nuances, you're better off trying to convince the project leader that is better to not remove them. Like you said, charage doesn't tolerate the loss of honorifics and if you are all having a hard time trying to remove them then you're better off leaving them in.

You can edit machine translation to be readable too but is it good? No

That patch didn't use a machine translation. It's a proper one, but a bit rough at the edges. Dracu Riot is not some plotge with heavy prose like Dies Irae or Subahibi, so that leaked patch is good enough for the common reader. I'm looking forward to Tenshin Ranman instead.
