    As someone who currently has Kazuko's route as my favorite for this game (could (hopefully) change with Miyako's or the Agave route) I'll say I didn't come out of it disliking Chris as what occurs in the route makes sense for the character and it's not like there was anything malicious about it.

     

    Have to say I'm really looking forward to playing Miyako's route in english and as soon I finish I'll be going straight to Majikoi S to enjoy her after story and those mini-endings throughout the main story.

    Yeah, neither did I, but during THAT section of Kazuko's route, I was like, "God dammit, Chris, please just stop! >.< You don't know what you're doing!! >>.<<".

     

     

    This is funny because while I was playing I couldn't bring me to do that threesome. x)

    Maybe because I was feeling bad about using a drunk Chris.

     

    I've lost faith in you, Azengar. :(

    Alright... so i have fully completed Momoyo and Chris's route and i must say both were absolutely brilliant! (Chris is kinky as hell lol ) i have now moved onto Kazuko's route... (prepared for the feelz) and then finally going to do Yuki's :D

    oh and then in Febuary *fingers crossed* i can finally do Miyako routes as i love her the most :P

     

    THEN i am going to play the 4 routes available in Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai! S (got the patch and game installed ) it should be great fun :)

    Please report back your reaction. Kazuko's route is my favourite, hehe. :D

    Also, I warn you that you may come to dislike Chris quite a bit during it...

    After you finish thatm it would be awesome If you could try Gakuto and Moro too jsut for Copletition first.

     

    My question is - would you guys gave any troble in releasing patch that would be compatibile wiht the previously translated parts ? I mean would your patch be stand-alone jsut for Miyako and Agave or it could be aplyied over Yandere translated part ?

    I believe that Azengar has already stated that it will be possible to choose between a standalone version and a Yandere-compatible version of the patch. At any rate, that's how it's gonna be. As far as the side-routes go, I'm not actually certain if we're doing them. It's all up to Kosuna, but I would certainly like them to be translated, too.

    Wow, I never made that connection. You're absolutely right. While the other routes almost all followed a redundant formula with a major event in the middle, Wanko's certaintly stood out in terms of character development and immersion which caused a strong connection to the reader. I'm disappointed in myself for not catching that. I see your point now, for sure. I guess it would depend on how much you like dramatic stories, but Wanko's was definitely the best translated route in that respect.

    I played Wanko first since Miyako was missing. It was a long time ago, but I can't really think of why Wanko should have been saved for last (other than making

    you hostile towards Chris who I hated anyway just from the prologue

    ). I'm curious why you would have chosen to play Wanko last?

     

    I actually can't think of who I'd save for last. All the routes were stand-alone to me. I guess Momoyo just because she came off as a spotlight character (out of the translated routes), though the route was nothing special in my opinion ... I think think Umeko had the framework for the best route if they gave her the full treatment. There was a lot of room for story telling and awkward scenarios/social encounters. Shame.

     

    The afterstories were

    incredibly disappointing compared to other VN's. I mean, I couldn't post spoilers about them even if I wanted to because there's no real story in them. It's basically just a lot of porn with no real closure. I guess you could say the afterstories just wanted to let everyone know that the couples had a healthy sexual relationship ever after.

    Well, what happens in Wanko's route is hinted at in all the other routes. (Like with Momoyo's need for fighting.)

    The main reason is quite simply 

    because Wanko's route is the only sad one, thus it would be best to save it for last in order to build up emotional attachment. Also, it would be quite depressing to play her route first and then, knowing her fate, having to watch her fighting a losing battle in the other routes.

    Also, yeah, 

    Chris never really sat well with me. Neither did Mayucchi. Still love the interactions they bring to the table, though.

    So i just started this VN (currently doing Momoyo route ) and i cannot wait to play Miyako's route

    i just really do hope it's done by February :)

    I recommend waiting with Wanko's route as long as you can. Oh, and some characters have "After stories" that you can play after the route, so be sure to check those out, too.

    I can only speculate here. Rumor has it the entire Yandere team has quit and are inactive. Aiyoku no Eustia, Majikoi, Sengoku Rance, and a few others have all stalled because of that. It's a big deal, because these are some top notch VN's and Yandere has taken the responsibility of translating them. That means no other translation team will touch them. There are people that have been waiting for the Majokoi title alone to be finished for over a year, and the team won't give any concrete information on what's going on with them personally aside from a blurb about working alot at their job.

     

    And more speculation based on this thread - I wonder if the original estimate of them being able to finish Mayiko in December was based on Yandere being 85% done. Maybe they were relying on only needing to do 15% after getting their hands on Yandere's progress. It was mentioned they had to start the entire route from scratch, but not whether they planned that ahead of time or not. I saw it mentioned that Yandere was uncooperate earlier, and any sort of constructive reply wasn't forthcoming. And one of the current translation team members (our white knights in this thread) mentioned later on that December was probably a little optimistic, but he didn't have the information on where everyone else on the team stood.

     

    Point being, it's possible that the December date was given before the team knew they'd have to redo the whole route.

     

    I'm not trying to put Yandere in a bad light, mind you. I appreciate the efforts they made even if they weren't able to follow through. It's just that I, like everyone else, would like an official statement bringing the situation to a close so other teams to grab these projects that Yandere is sitting on.

     

     

    I think they're either translating route from scratch (starting on the beach before fight with with shadows), or they already got their hands on what Yandere translated. Its not like they were planning to randomly select 15% of text, and later magically add it together with yandere release - if they were to know what to skip from translating, they had to know exactly which parts are already translated - as in, having them in front of their eyes.

     

    All right, let me clear this up: We will NOT be able to finish this by 2014. That rumor was based on having Yandere's translation, but so far, they have not given it to us. We are still trying to get in contact with them, but we're currently just doing it from scratch. If I had to give a (very) rough estimate, I would say around late February. But that is only my guess, of course.

    Welp, the others are saying around the end of the year, and the classes I have next semester isn't as rigorous (I hope) as this, so it'll be fine. 

    As I said, I have no knowledge of anyone else on this project other than Kosuna. But according to him, and judging by the text he has sent me so far, we're at the start of the route.

    You're doing God's work, son(daughter?). If Miyako route is finished sometime in December, and I remember this moment, I will.... do something.

    Lol, December seems a bit far fetched. I don't know who else is working on this, but Kosuna said that nothing is happening with Yandere, which means we're translating this from the beginning of the route.
