  1. Is it the same guy who said たまたまだろ? My TL would make sense if the guy who's advocating that girls who don't do club activities are better. I was thinking it went something along the lines of "Because there's some qualities you can't cultivate with club activities!" 養う here I think means develop or cultivate, rather than it's more commonly used version of provide for or foster, and the なにか would naturally mean something(qualities) to compliment 養う。 Hope this helps
  2. Come again? Original line was something along the lines of: "People will hate you if you're stingy." I feel like I'm in Ghost Stories dub...
  3. Not a simple translation, but maybe instead of using it as a noun you could say "We interlocked fingers." or "We interlocked our fingers while holding hands." Something along those lines. I don't think there's a nice translation that you could just replace the term with. Context would help too.
  4. Cool to see an osu! thread here. Just started playing again recently because of summer time. I got this on a 5.42* map which surprised me a lot, since I'd only been playing around 5* and below before. https://imgur.com/i567FWa
  5. Sounds like maybe damedame? Like no, no in a cutesy way. Really need more context
  6. Wow, they barely use last names so I totally forgot and blanked out. RIP wall.
  7. Need help with this line: 「莉々子さんって、3年の羽多野莉々子先輩?あのちっちゃいけどカッコいい“騎士”の」 [Ririko-san? You mean that 3rd-year Ririko-san? That petite but cool "knight?"] So I've pretty much got the whole sentence down, but I have no idea what 羽多 means. Going by kanji, it would be many wings, and pronounced "hane" and "oo/ta" but that doesn't really make sense here, as she has no wings(as far as I know) and it's pronounced "hatano."
  8. I watch Japanese lets players of untranslated VNs. It makes it a lot easier because you can just sit back and relax and not have to think too much about how the sentence flows and stuff. And obviously they're not going to throw memes at your face about how weird Japan is.
  9. Haha that's so true. I've found a lot of short VNs through steam. Anyways, I hope you enjoy your stay here. I'm pretty new myself, though.
  10. Nice to meet you, AaronTooNerdy! If I may ask, what got you into VNs?
  11. Gonna scrub out and say: Attack on Titan OPM Clannad (AS) FMA:B Higurashi Natsume Yuujinchou Although having your MAL or something else would help as I have no idea what you've already watched.
  12. Looks like I'll be playing Tokyo Babel. Thanks to all that helped me decide this.
  13. I have some free time now so I'd like to start a VN. I just picked some VN's that looked interesting enough, but I don't know which one to play.
  14. You are right for this line. They have a spiteful tone here. In this day and age, to hold on to your wish... They're saying that wishing for stuff is outdated. Again, it's spiteful
  15. From what I've seen, you can either do a TL note or make up your own pun :). For the lines at the bottom, it goes along the lines of : Because I value myself, I won't sell myself out for the sake of the world. Also, instead of saying I, myself, am valuable. I would say I value myself.
  16. Hey, could anyone help me with this line? 「あっ、ほんとだ! なに、親しみの表れってやつ?」 Context: Koharu is performing as a baton swinger, and she sees MC after she's done. They meet up, and she shows him Tama-sensei's face on the baton. あ、ほら、見て見てっ。バトンにタマ先生の顔も描いちゃったよっ [Ah, here, look look~! Tama-sensei's face is drawn on the baton.] (Koharu) 「あっ、ほんとだ! なに、親しみの表れってやつ?」 [Ah, it's true! Whatsit, the overly friendly teacher?] (MC) <- my best attempt at a TL 「このほうがおもしろいかなって。 [ I thought it would be interesting this way. ](Koharu) More literally, (Ah, It's true! What, that intimately appearing guy?)
  17. Hmm, I'd probably say Muv-Luv Alternative. I read the whole thing in three days over the summer because it was soo good.
  18. Wow that completely flew over my head. I saw the comparisons to Christ but I never made the connection. Thanks for the heads up guys. I don't know how much that will help the cringe but I'll definitely finish PE.
  19. 1) Handle: TSard 2) Position I can fill: Editor, QC, and TLC 3) Types of projects: Only games that are on PC. I would like there to be drama like a story-heavy game. I'm fine with gameplay elements as long as it's not the main focus. 4) Availability (edit) Unavailable 5) I'm not that deep into untranslated VNs so I don't have a specific one I'd like to work on. 6) Motivation: I want there to be more VN's to read. 7) Conditions: I'm fine with a lot of stuff. I'm sure you could convince me. Currently Working On: Lover Able - TLC Witch's Garden - TLC
  20. I saw Princess Evangile but I was afraid the premise of one guy in an all-girls school would be too generic. While I was wrong about that, the common route really hurts me. Every single person in the school is sexist towards the MC and he's so passive. Frankly, I have no idea how he doesn't get angry when everyone puts the blame on him for being a guy. I've only done Ritsuko's route but I really don't know if I can continue.
  21. ごきげんよう. Hello, everyone! Long time user of fuwa walkthroughs but that's about all my exposure to this site. I've read quite a few VN's already, and my top three would probably be MLA, Grisaia, and Umineko. I've been studying japanese for about half a year now(self-study) and I'm interested in reading untranslated VN's. I've already read Miu's route in Dracu Riot and am transitioning into Aiyoku no Eustia (the fully translated common routes make the task a lot easier). I'm pretty awkward like everywhere and bad at organizing my thoughts so everything I say will probably be a jumbled mess. I'm a fluent English speaker so I'd like to help translation projects as QC, editor, or even TLC(if I'm even good enough.) I have no experience in hacking but I would be willing to learn(everybody's gotta start somewhere). I'm currently learning Java but that's about all my experience with computers.
