Dang, beat to it before I cold even scroll down. Just gonna add to this then... Monogatari does an astounding job with telling stories, they really do have the perfect balance of normal animation and silly animation. A scene can go from funny to deadly real quick, and it doesn't feel too abrupt, but just right. One of the great things about this show is how they keep your eye moving while having a straight-up conversation scene, the Hitagi/Kaiki scene at the airport place is the best example. The scenery just keeps changing, and the camera angels, oooh the camera angels of this show are just splendid to keep you interested. The show is now known for the head tilts it has now. In most other shows plain conversation scenes can really just seem like a boring drag, but this show managed to keep you interested with perfect execution.

1, winter for sure, I love the cold and the heat is just miserable. Plus you get to be all manly with chopping your own trees down for firewood. 1: Have a tree in your front yard that makes you live as long as it does/die when it dies. or 2: Have a turtle with same conditions as the tree.

2, I can have an epic death and can go "Worth it!" 1: Have a bad ghost haunting you that does random stuff to you(knock stuff over, not like killing anyone). or 2: Every drink you have tastes very badly(never get used to the taste).

I whole-heartedly agree that anime is an art, and a dang good one at that. However, lots of people continue to view all anime as kids cartoons, which is pretty sad. I truly wish it weren't so but it's true, at the moment lots of people just view it as nothing more than a cartoon show and won't give it a second thought, I don't think anime will be considered as the art it is for at least a while now. Anime shows have gotten more feels out of me than any action-packed film/show that've been released in America, most stuff in America now days are just action that isn't even close to art.
