  1. There are medieval VN w/o gameplay here and there, like this one or this one, but I'm yet to find a good one.
  2. I spent so much time making this one, but if some people still like it I think it wasn't a bad idea.
  3. Gin no Toki no Corona. She's telling her friends about her first experience:
  4. Waiting for the final game of 時計仕掛けのレイライン. I gave 8 to the first one and 9 to the second, so if they keep it up, final part can probably take 10/10. Some Mooko goodness: And in general I'm always paying attention to Alicesoft, morover their latest VN was different from the stuff they usually make, in a good way.
  5. Both K-Lite and CCCP are just "wrappers" for FFDshow, with some additional codecs. I never experienced a VN not playing video on a raw system w/o codec packs, but had issues with installed packs several times on different systems.
  6. From my experience it's just a way to invite trouble. All VN have their own means of decoding their own videos, or just use codecs each Windows system have by default. But if you have something like Haali Media Splitter or/and FFDshow installed, some VNs can freeze or not play their movies at all.
  7. The first one was okay, the second was very good and the ending was epic. Can't waint for the final game. I recommend: Eustia (my fav VN ever), Corona, Soukoku and Shikigami if you don't mind gameplay, Soranica if you're okay with heroine-oriented game instead of strong plot, and Primary if you're okay with the art and tons of moe. Edit: almost forgot about Drapeko – haven't finished this yet (2 chapters left), but it's probably the closest thing to what you're looking for.
  8. 1. Tae Kim's & Ixrec's guides. 2. Read VNs you wanted to read. <-- one can stop here 3. Join a TL project. 4. Ask around things you don't get. Well, my goal was "I want to read VNs in moon" and I'm already there. I don't try to speak or to write, and VNs are perfect material for reading and listening.
  9. セーブデータの作成に失敗しました – failed to create save data.
  10. I'd started to read Hareten because of this imouto, but dropped it halfway. Hope Moshiraba will be better.
  11. The only think I didn't like was first-person dungeon crawl which looked really poor. Everything else was fun, and Kirara was simply perfect. Still I liked their next game better, both story-wise and gameplay-wise.
  12. I've seen several VNs that hadn't run under Win7 either. The latest one was Magus Tale. So I'd still recommend having WinXP as a second system for VNs.
  13. Or you can set up a virtual machine with Windows XP and play any VN you want. That's what I did on my Win8 notebook.
  14. I've read only imouto route. Good thigs: it's short – tightly packed story, no long boring texts. Also the incest theme was as great as in Yosuga no sora – it was "dark" enough, not your typical moege. The ending was to my liking, even better than YnS'. As for the sortcomings, 2 of 4 heroines didn't seem interesting at all. And well, huge boobs everywhere... but even so H-scenes were really hot. This game is definitely worth reading if you liked YnS and are looking for a good blood-related brother-sister dark romance story. 9/10 for me, and I'd even joing a TL project for imouto route.
