  1. Because i'm not entirely sure what all just happened. Aside from my happiness at seeing a normal Samiel and a Schreiber that isn't batshit insane from torment, and seeing all of the gang get back together, i'm a little confused as to how all this happened. Was the Ren there the original? Or was he also reincarnated? Why were Rea and Kei children, but Shirou, Ellie, and presumably Ren not? Same with Marie. And for Marie i'm even more confused, is she capable of reincarnating herself? And in the case that this isn't the original ren (:ren:), was he also capable of reincarnating himself? The whole part with Kasumi is the only thing that really makes sense, since she seemed to be the only one there that didn't actually die in the final fight. And then how do they all just happen to remember eachother? Someone please help because I slept on this and my mind still can't process what just happened

The patch is in the final state of debugging, so it should be out soon-ish. Hopefully within a month.

As for what they did to replace the 18+ scenes, they created entierly new all-ages replacement scenes, and I have heard they are actually quite good. In fact, most people seem to say that reading both the 18+ ver. and the all-ages ver. of said scenes would be the best solution, as each version of the scenes adds something the other does not.

If you are so hyped you don't feel like waiting anymore, I'd say just read the steam version, then go back for the 18+ scenes when the patch is out. You shouldn't miss out on much at all, as everything except H-scenes and straight up nudity is still 100% intact in the steam ver. And you will be seeing the all-ages replacement scenes in the place of 18+ scenes, so you'll actually be reading some unique stuff you wouldn't see if you just read the 18+ ver.

I'm personally going to wait for the patch, then read the all-ages scenes after, but there is nothing wrong with doing it the other way if you are tired of waiting.

Thing is, I also recall hearing that some of the sex scenes are also pretty plot relevant. Deciding whether to read it or not is a struggle :amane:

  3. Aside from the obvious lack of r18 content, does it add anything in to replace it? Have only read a few hours since I was holding out for the r18 patch, but they clearly don't care about releasing it so i'm about to just say screw it and read the censored version. It then occurred to me that this version could potentially be better, assuming they added something else of value in place of the cut content.

I just want to read this already, man :notlikemiya:

  4. Spoiler doesn't work on mobile for me so rip theres gonna be an image. Anyways, downloaded the English version just to set up a quartz account and did one multi with the free quartz, lookie who came home. Feels like i've rolled him on every account at this point, guess i'm a little more than a mongrel to him.

  5. So this might be weird, but i'm bored and still grieving over this so i'm going to make it anyways. For those who don't know, two days ago we lost who I believe to be one of the greatest rock singers of all all time, Chris Cornell. He was the lead vocalist for both Soundgarden and Audioslave, though he did numerous other solo works. I've been listening to his music for about as long as I can remember, and the knowledge that i'll never hear that voice sing something new again hurts like a knife in my chest. And to think I skipped seeing them live a little over a week ago, it feels like I didn't get to say goodbye to someone dear to me before they died. Maybe i'm just too sappy :amane:

Anyways, what are you're experiences with his work? Do you like the music? Do you dislike it? Ever seen them in concert?

Neither of those are slice-of-life games about dating girls though, which is what it seems like he wants, lol.

Hatsukoi 1/1's complete translation just came out, and while the translation is pretty stiff, it's made up by the game itself being rather good.

Doesn't have to strictly be SoL. Something like Comyu or G-senjou would be fine too. And how stiff are we talking? It looks pretty interesting to me, but so did Koichoco and that TL (from what I remember) made me want to die.

Said it before, saying it again, The House In Fata Morgana is incredible. I don't recall if you read it. 30 hours or so long, it's on Steam. Wonderful OST and art, especially. Pretty recent release.

YU-NO is great if you'd be fine with retro stuff. It's a bit obtuse so follow a walkthrough, but still it's a wonderful experience. Somehow has a SoL feeling despite taking place mostly over two days. There's some romanticism too.

The former sounds interesting but i'm not sure that's what i'm looking for right now. Actually forgot about YU-NO, have always been tempted to try it but i'm afraid it'll be too dated for me orz

NieR Automata is good. Far cry from a dating sim though. Thomas Was Alone is pretty damn good, but short.

    You open to VN suggestions?

Yeah. Especially translations released in the past year or so, haven't really been keeping up with progress on anything. The longer, the better.

  8. Just now getting into doujinshi, would love some recommendations. Preferably must be translated in English somewhere. No trap/futa, no loli, no scat, no guro. Aside from that, pretty much everything is fair game. Colorized pages would be nice too, but it's not required.

It's currently within 10 kilometers of me but it got delayed due to costoms.

    Fuk u.

Gotta love getting cockblocked by customs. 'Effin shitty adults with their regulations.

  10. Finished my first playthrough and started NG+ last night. Using the Japanese voices this time around. Ryuji and Morgana already sound much better, not that I had a problem with the dub aside from Haru.

  11. Yeah I think the non-PT confidants beat the hell out of the non-party social links in P4. It also helps that almost all of them are 'effin fine as hell.

Also allow me to share this here dank ass meme

  12. For me, both of the games are on an equal level. If I want good characters with decent interactions and a great story, i'll play P5. If I want good characters with amazing interactions and an okay story, i'll play P4. Do keep in mind I have only done like two confidants (saving most for NG+) and haven't played with Japanese voices yet, so my opinion could change.

P5's biggest sin is having 9 date options, making me play through it 9 times.

  13. I'm a good 65 hours in, just about to start the 7th dungeon. Should finish the game today, I think. After that it's straight to NG+. This has really made me want to go back and play through P4G though, might have to do that after finishing this. Really wish the characters got a break more often, it feels like it's just shit after shit for them, maybe an extended version like P4G could change it. Gonna have to spend an hour or two fusing persona later as well. What are you guys currently using? Seth has been carrying me since I got him.

Jokes aside, what chapter ( or how many Palace you cleared) you on Mugi?

Maybe he'll change in the future, but atm his talk of 'GLORIOUS PHANTOM THIEF SO FAMOUS' is annoying :rimu:

Recently beat the third palace, i'm in process of trying to find the next target. I think best girl might be coming up soon :nokia:

  15. I haven't been keeping track, honestly. I think it took me like 5 or something for the first one? Maybe more? You are forced out of dungeons at certain points for story reasons, getting the security level too high, etc. And you essentially have to be ready to fight the boss two days before the deadline. Plus you're going to pretty much have to leave sometimes because SP is relatively limited and your bullets only refill when you do so. Also maybe it's just me but a lot of enemies early on hit pretty hard. Makes me pretty happy that it isn't like P4 where I can just plow through a dungeon in a day.

  16. 6 and a half hours in, gameplay wise it's already miles ahead of P4. Really like the characters so far as well, and I actually hate the antagonists this time around (or at least the first one) and feel motivated to deal with them, which only happened two or three times for me in P4 since 80% of the time you were just dealing with evil versions of the main characters. Also my god these dungeons are huge, I feel like i'm nowhere near finished with the first one and i've spent a good amount of time in it. Having the psuedo-platforming and stealth is a really nice touch. I thought people were exaggerating when they said this was a 100+ hour game, but I can genuinely see it taking me 30+ more hours than it took me to play P4G. I could go one for a few more paragraphs but i'm dead tired. I'll just say that if this keeps up, I have little doubt that it'll top P4G as my favorite game of all time
