I'm at Dungeon Midboss right now, and grinding renown is getting to be pretty tedious. So my question is, if I hack to get max renown and get instantly promoted to king, does that end the game? Will I be skipping a ton of cutscenes and everything?

Since 2 just got translated, I figured that i might as well pick the first one back up and play through it again. However, I don't remember the ranks, and can't find the translated image for them. So, can someone tell me all the different ranks? Does each one have three sub-ranks in it as well? Also, if you could also tell me the amount of points that is required for each one, that would be fantastic. And should I take my time doing things? Like, if I rank up too fast, could I miss events? Well, I just finished Noble Works the other day. Koisuru an KoiChoco both look nice, but I can't read Japanese, so there's a bit i'd be missing out on with those extra patches on Koisuru right? And I've been hearing some mixed things about KoiChoco. I swear, the hardest thing about reading visual novels is choosing what to read next.

And while i'm on the topic of VN length, how long is Symphonic Rain? I've been looking forward to that for a while, but seeing it might only be around 10 hours is pretty disappointing.

Also, how should I generally interpret VNDB's listed length for visual novels? Medium, for instance, is represented by 10-30 hours. That's a good 20 hour difference, which I think is pretty big. And since I prefer to read longer VN's, the length could decide whether or not I read something.

The latter put me off because of the whole cross dressing thing, and I heard Harukoi Otome was the biggest, most repetitive snoozefest ever. Though maybe i'd like it anyways.. What about KiraKira? I liked Deardrops, so I feel like i'd like it. But again, the crossdressing kind of puts me off, and so does the full screen text box.

Hm, thanks for the recommendations. Sharnoth and Gakthun don't really seem like my thing. Steins;Gate could be good, but I would have liked to have a bit more romance in the VN, which I hear it doesn't. Anything similar to Noble Works? Maybe Grisaia? Or Princess Evangile? Something fairly lighthearted, but that has serious moments.

Doesn't really matter if it's light hearted, I just don't want something downright depressing. Something a little more serious like Grisaia and G-Senjou would be great as well

I'm going to be going through VNDB looking for some to add to my collection so I can have enough to keep me busy for a while, but I would also like to hear what you guys have to recommend. I know of a decent amount of them, but I only somewhat recently (as in half a year ago) found out about things like Yume Miru and Deardrops. Not looking for nukige or utsuge, and i'd prefer it if I didn't get PTSD after reading it like with KnS
