Vokoca
Hooray for a shameless necro! So after quite some time, I've decided to open Grisaia again, only to realize Yuuji's sayings are still as confusing as ever. Could anyone help me with this one? I can't wrap my head around the second part. What does the ほど particle even mean there? I know its usual uses, but for some reason it just doesn't make any sense to me in that sentence.

Vokoca
Oh, that'd actually make sense. Thanks, no idea why I didn't think of that, the sentence just seemed really odd to me.
Funnerific
As far as I understand, the second part roughly means "to shake off the silence that was growing uncomfortable, I start talking". But what about the first one? I can't figure out the meaning of というには.
B3A2T
I get the impression that the above mean: As for calling it love, there's not enough. => Not enough to call it love. Story is too plain to call it mysterious. Weather is still (too) cold to call it spring. Too big to call it a sword. So with your sentence, it might be something like: It's too 騒がしい to call it 静寂. Take this with an ample amount of salt though since I'm a novice too. Funnerific
