VN-Angel
Let makes this short. I have watched both memories and melodies(of course, I'm talking about anime). So should I read/play Ef - a fairy tale of the two ? Any benefit for doing so ? To be blunt , just give me reasons(if exists) to read Ef - a fairy tale of the two ~
Snowtsuku
Yes. There are many details that are presented better in the VN than in the anime. To be honest I think playing the VN first is better before watching the series which I am glad I did.
Sparkker
Many would Suggest you this game. I for once never played it>> Haha, and for the anime. I deleted it, due to the poor quality, and forgot to DL it again...
shcboomer
Yes, I just recently finished ef - a fairy tale of the two. It was well worth my time even though I watched the anime. The Latter tale/the second part is much better in the VN vs. a tale of melodies.

In the anime, they even shorten up The First Tale so much that most of the important details for me were lost. Just imagine how much more detail The Latter Tale lost. Bolverk
I didn't like the Vn tbh. It's the single time I was unable to connect to any of the characters and the story as well. The VN is rated quite highly on VNDB, so it's not bad by any means tho. Imo the story and the characters were too logical, you could guess to easily how the story would progress. I like that to some extent, but this had just too much of it. In the end, I did complete the VN. So it's not bad tho. Hmm, odd VN imo. VN-Angel
Is there any new arc/route in the VN ?
shcboomer
Is there any new arc/route in the VN ? No, but the arcs that are from ef - a tale of melodies, is a lot more flushed out and much deeper. The Latter tale might be a good place to start if you don't want to repeat too much of the stuff from ef - a tale of melodies. Although the timeline does shift somewhat. Eurobeatz
I found the anime amazing, hopefully the game is just as good. I have high hopes for this one.
Skeith
For me, the VNs are usually always better than the anime adaptation and/or other adaptations.

The details are presented better in the VN though.
