NPA file help

According to the screenshot it's not an NPA file though (On the file type column it says NPA-fil).

You can show the file extensions by going to your Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options > View tab

Uncheck the box that says "Hide extensions for known file types", this will show file extensions on all of your files and you can edit them.

By the way, the internet explorer icon just means the file will open with internet explorer if you click on it, it doesn't change the actual file's properties.

I have give up, no matter what I do, I cant delete Internet explore icon and go back to empty blank paper.

That's just because the file extension is being associated with internet explorer, it doesn't change the file's properties.

If you want the file to open with another program, right click > select "Open with" and select whatever program you want to open the file with.

If you don't want to open the file at all, the icon doesn't matter.

If you really want the blank page (again it doesn't affect anything), you can clear the file association in your registry.

Oops, I pasted the wrong URL: http://www.howtogeek.com/171932/how-do-you-remove-a-default-file-association-in-windows-7/

But I'm still telling you this doesn't matter if you don't want to open the file, and if you want to open it you can click "open with".

best possible answer, redownload the file that you got.

If you redownload the file it'll still have the same association.
