    Que sera sera ~

One question i have in mind, i really liked Makoto's route but why the image of makoto holding a water gun playfully in the sea wasn't shown anywhere in the Makoto's route?

and why in the memories i have yet to unlock a gallery of 27, i thought upon finishing Makoto's route it will be 27/27 instead it's just 20/27 (the one while Rei's playing a gamble with Makoto)

Good point. But do they have a scene where she plays with the water gun? In the game itself I mean... I can't remember.

As for your 2nd question, don't mind that and keep on reading. ;)

In keeping with the time travel theme, I actually liked how they did Miu's route. When it came time to unlock Miu, I replayed the entire prologue to have a sense of fullness about her. It greatly enhanced the replay.

Yep, that was originally how the Miu route was meant to be enjoyed. In my case, only a couple of days had passed since I read it so I remembered most of it. Therefore didn't feel like reading it again. Even though Miu's so cute, it's rude to her...

There isn't really any route order, there is only miu and cro for last

I know. That's just a personal musing on which route order would be maximally profitable in terms of impact and fun.

Nice review there, and by the way if you need some more icha icha you could play H Scenes for each character.

As for Miu, to elaborate here actually there is a reason I called prologue 'Miu arc'. The reason was the prologue was actually more fitting to be Miu's route (Albeit with no ending unlocked yet) because the prologue focused on Miu like Clephas said. That's all for my elaboration.

By the way, right now I'm tackling Misaki if you curious.

    Ah, finished them sans Michiru.

Indeed, as such, this VN has no "common route" in that sense of the word.

And enjoy the cute faces she makes when angry. Oh, the voice acting for her is great too, so might be a good idea to listen to that. :P

This is a strawman, in case people were wondering.

People aren't blaming him for not understanding, people are telling him to google what are some very commonly used words.

Um, except the words are not "very commonly used" for me, I'm afraid.

If you want an analogy in Japanese, it would be this, where the words he introduces are spoken by the Japanese people on a daily basis in many places, yet we who learn Japanese from outside don't have much of a way to know them:

That being said, it would be fun to know things like this in English, I guess, haha.

Yuzusoft's bad habit is the inclusion of repetitive ichaicha (multiple dates where one would do, multiple h-scenes where one would do, etc).  I actually don't think Senren was that bad as Yuzusoft games go, at least when you compare it to the two thousand lines of h-scenes in some of their games, lol.

Two thousand lines of H-scenes... *runs for the hills*

That being said, as a general reply, the route isn't bad at all: it's quite well-written, and packs emotional impact. I'm just grumbling about the excess H-scenes in Mako's route and excess ichaicha in Yoshino's route. I guess I have a low tolerance for them...

  6. Totally agree with you on this. I also dislike games where the other heroine routes are just something like add-ons, tacked on as an afterthought, or worse, not considered worthy of giving a proper ending inside the world where they exist. If a heroine is getting a route in a game, she should have, in the very least, an ending that's possible, not a "what-if" kind of a thing.

Now that I think of it, aren't Rewrite' s (the original and main game's) heroine endings like this too?

Thanks for telling which games follow this kind of structure.

Another fact: This exact same feeling is what all the "heroine" routes in the anime-or-LN-turned-games give off. Case in point, Date a live. I have read only part of the first game, every single one of them gave a what-if routes, and it was as if the game itself was telling the same to my face. Kurumi's route was awesome though, and they adapted it into an OVA and decided to give it a "different" ending. I'm willing to bet the others are the same. Maybe this is the norm for this particular class of games, dunno. But going through them is quite suffering for me.

  7. Well, this definitely looks interesting. In my limited experience, VNs with an adult protagonist are quite rare (the ones that are not nukige, lol), and the protagonist type is right up my alley, so this definitely looks nice.

But well, the scenario writer went on to write White Album 2 after this work, so maybe it's kinda expected? I'd definitely like to read this once.

How is the average length, btw?
