  1. Many video games have creepy rumors behind them, many of which turn out to be true. For example, the Hell Valley Sky Tree in Super Mario Galaxy (creepy people that looks at you from far up in the sky on one particular level), Herobrine in Minecraft, Lavender Town Syndrome in Pokemon (though it's pretty much 100% fiction), the Ritual Children in World of Warcraft (these kids that stand in a pentagon formation for some reason), the hidden message in some guitar game for the DS (a sound test clip that seemingly contains "They'll kill us" at the end), and many more.

Just wondering if there has ever been anything similar for visual novels :P. Often, these show up because of the developers' mistake, or it's a joke from them. Other times, it spawns from players' imaginations. Whatever the case, I find them fascinating~ There should be some visual novel related creepypastas XD.

  2. I love me some Hanasaku Iroha, too! At first, I thought nano.RIPE's voice was too out there for me. Once I got used to it, though, it's unique and pretty pleasant. It really gets you started for a new day B).

As for what I'm listening to, I have some unexplainable obsession with Hong Kong :P. Now that I've finished Sleeping Dogs, I've been listening to the Cantonese songs from that game~

  3. That's great! Got to appreciate people devoting their time into supporting the community. Everyone here is really respectful and understanding of one another. It's a great place to hang out for sure :).

  4. Thank you to both Ryoji and Kotomi for being so excited about episode 3! To be honest, I just held a play test session today, and a lot of level design flaws were pointed out. Lots of sweat and tears ahead :P~

Thanks Solidbatman! I hope you'll enjoy the episodes currently available :). Thanks for the Bat-hug, too XD~

Sieg, thank you for checking out the game! Really appreciate you taking the time to do so. I guess the unhacker is pretty strict about who he gives his costume mods to ;). Yep, the plot is all figured out already. Please look forward to it. Indeed, the art is done by me. Thank you for enjoying it m(_ _)m!

Wow, mooingmage, thank you for much for taking that time to draw this art! It made my evening and I really appreciate it. Do you mind if I shared it on my Facebook and blog? Might start a Friend Art section on the Unhack site and post it there as well if it's okay :)~ +1 rep from me as well. Incredible work! A cute interpretation of Weedy and the coloring work was great.

A2 said she wanted to give -1 reputation for the art

   . Let's ignore her B).

    Thank you everyone m(_ _)m.

  5. I guess there'll be superior feeling people in any country. No doubt, this applies to Japan also. However, I am also certain that there are Japanese players who would be happy to hear people around the world want to be involved in their hobbies.

Wahfuu, yeah, I think I've read this article before also~ Hm, maybe we should feel superior for having read it first! Nah :P.

I too am glad that everyone is so friendly here B). That are a lot of nasty forums so this is something I appreciate.

  6. Thank you for checking out the game, Kotomi and Mikel!

Kotomi, I guess to be fair, the music was written by Matt at Brainfed :). Everything else, I just put on my producer's hat and did my best to keep things manageable~

Thanks Mikel! Yeah, Weedy can get a bit crazy when she gets excited .

    Thank you again m(_ _)m.

  7. Mikel, yeah, being able to read the English and Japanese text at the same time is cool for sure. Educational, too. Though to be honest, I get lazy and I stick to the English .

Kotomi, I'm actually enjoying the game, too. Just noticed that there's a photo button that links to real photos of places on Google Maps. It's great when you go in with a tourist perspective hoping to learn about Japan's history and culture.

I guess we can all agree that the music is bad ~

  8. Thanks for playing the game Tay! Feel free to tweet me at any time; it motivates me to keep working :). I like me some Kinder Surprise, too B)~

I've thought about hiring an artist to do the sprites, but I don't have that kind of budget right now, so I'll just have to do my best. As for the dialog issue, yeah, the double click can definitely annoy some, including perhaps me. I could make the letters animate in, and you click to make the full sentence snap out. But then, what will happen to the dialog during a game sequence? I might chose to leave this be for the time being. Let's see what ideas come to mind.

The log in button idea is great, too. At the moment, I'm going to dedicate my efforts toward finishing the series (without rushing, of course). Again, let's see how we go.

    Thanks again Tay :).

Ryoji, you may get the answers to some of those questions in later episodes B). On this forum, I often talk about how I lose patience when VNs have too much fluff text, so I definitely want to avoid being a hypocrite with my writing :P. I prefer to get to the point while doing my best to maintain a human touch.

That "noooooooooo" never gets old XD.

    Thanks people :).
