  1. Probably pokemon, dragonball z, or gundam wing when i was a kid. don't remember. tenchi muyo is another candidate. But first anime from when i started watching again as a teen would have to be bleach. Yes, i know it's mainstream but that's why i watched it. Lots of people said it was good and i got hooked on the first 3 seasons. then i branched to naruto which was so/so. then gundam 00 and clannad just clenched the deal.

    Hey

Would play but the anime was subpar which was shocking. Haven't finished yet because of that. would have liked it more if kyousuke was the main character probably. Have watched almost all the anime that spawned from key's vn's. as far as the vn's go, Art in kanon is too old. so is planetarian. Do want to try rewrite and angel beats though . little busters is basically a coin flip at this point. and there's the all important factor which is time constraints. Have it. haven't started it. probably wont till next year and by then i should have more vn's to play from anime expo Would play but the anime was subpar which was shocking. Haven't finished yet because of that. would have liked it more if kyousuke was the main character probably.
  3. Saw this from a third party source. was skeptical so i didn't bring it up. If it's on his twitter it should be more reliable. guess i'll just put this away with my pso2 na hopes until it eventually hopefully comes out.
  4. That makes sense. Since people will go crazy if he doesn't finish it after announcing that he has restarted. I mean, people are already acting like he lied over not finishing when he said he planned on being done by now.(separate from him saying he would release what was done)
  5. Actually, i did do research. I've had dracu-riot since the project was announced and had been following ever since. I get what you mean. I Know people are mad at him because of the way he acts. But, it is not true that people dont hate on other translators for taking too long or dropping a project. They do. and a lot of people hate on them in fact. and not just fansub groups but they hate on official companies as well. If you investigate a bit in random major forums, you'll see that is true. Or just google a project cancellation. And yes, if he's a jerk than it's ok to hate him. Hell, you don't have to have a reason. But i can't stand the way people demand this project from him. Besides, if you think that it is right to hate him for the way he treats people waiting for the translation, isn't it also possible he hates us back? You said, there's a reason why people are hating him and it's not because he dropped the project right? What makes you think he's acting like this for no reason? Go to most forums or chatrooms that discuss fan translations and you most likely will find bashing. I mean yes it's the internet, but still. Bashing on the internet, bashing in emails, bashing in messages. Anyone would have an attitude towards us if we start bashing him despite the fact that he's doing us a huge favor. and not just the people messing with him. there's also the constant inquiries about the status of the project. who knows, he might have reasons for his secrecy. he has a right to withhold information on his project. he doesn't even need to have a reason. I don't know if that's the reason he acts the way he does or if he's just normally like that. But it is a good reason.

    Hey

I'm from California. I'm 20 years old and a male. That about covers all the personal information I will ever be willing to divulge. At this moment, I personally like diverse VN where i can have more flexibility than what linear stories tend to offer. Sort of like Men at work 2(which isn't yaoi or otome btw. it's just a misleading title) or alchemy meister which is actually kind of linear. But it's diverse so it's ok. Recently tried sengoku rance but the story is 90 percent sex/rape making the game like 70 percent sex/rape. But i did like the play style which is why i was looking for diverse games like yumina the ethereal. Contradicting what i just said, My favorite vn is a tie between: -katawa shoujo(the "feels") -grisaia no kajitsu(epicly funny. just godly. haven't finished and its getting an anime). Currently playing fading hearts, aselia the eternal, yumina the ethereal. Want to play clannad(for kotomi's route that wasn't animated D:<). want to get g senjou no maou and world end economica. Both of which were recently released by mangagamer i think. looking forward to the translations of dracu-riot, majikoi, oreimo, gears of dragoon, and all eushully games
  7. that being said, i understand the need to hear what the future of dracu-riot is going to be. i can't see why they're holding off on saying it. If it's for no reason then it's a low blow. if they have a reason then i understand. and it sucks that all the progress that was made on a most likely dead project hasn't been released/or officially announced to have been released. as someone who has been waiting for yanderetranslations to start majikoi back up and for oreimo to be finished, i understand the pain. but still, sometimes, i wish all the major and most of the minor fansub groups would just band together and shut down translations for a year just to fuck with all the ungrateful people who think theyre entitled to handouts. it would suck for those of us who understand the definition of the words "promise" and "entitled", and those who support fansub groups, but yeah. ungrateful people just bug.
  8. I kind of agree with insems post on twitter. There are hardly any saints out there that would like doing things for free. especially if they have other things to do. In fact, if i was a translator, translations would be at the bottom of my things to do as well. And so what if he didn't keep up with deadlines? Valhalla knights 3 was pushed back 9 months. and this is from a company with money and staff who will get paid for their efforts. Plus, he said he will release all his work if he didn't restart the project. maybe he did. People need to learn that they're getting english patches for free and that it means that they're not entitled to anything. Nobody promised that they'd finish the patch. They just started working on one. Hopes? well life happens. I'd like to see what some of the whiners would do if they where put in situations where it was difficult to finish a patch. Kind of annoying reading comments like: "Why you dont you resign NOW and let a CAPABLE person take over your “job”?" or "Seriously why is no one dedicated to translating eroge? Because you get tired of the porn? Then why do eroge. If its because of time restraints don't pick up eroge projects then if you don't believe you can get it done. That's horrible. we need dedicated fans that are willing to translate eroge that doesn't get licensed." - seriously? their job? they dont get paid. and i doubt any fansub group starts a project they know they will finish. "we need dedicated fans that are willing to translate eroge that doesn't get licensed." i like how this person wants someone else to do this for free. acting like they were cheated out of their money for a product they invested in. self entitled pricks. Yet none of these people complaining sign up for japanese courses or even volunteer to be an editor for fansub groups.
