The description of the VN taken from vndb
Ema Tachibana is a tall, gloomy and unsociable girl with a bad case of resting bitch-face. With all that working against her, she's never really had any friends. At school, everyone's too scared to approach her.

But Ema herself is quite content with that state of affairs. In fact, she was all set to spend the rest of her time until graduation invisible as ever...

That is, until two men turned her life upside down!

"It's you... I've finally found you! You are, without a doubt, MY MUSE!"

Miki Hiraizumi—recently returned to Japan from abroad, he's loved making clothes ever since he was a little kid. He has a strong desire to help make charming, unusual women shine. (He's also a bit of a masochist.)

"Listen up, twerp! You're no good the way you are now. But even you have some potential to shine... I'll just have to polish you up!"

And Saito Shinjou—he frequently finds himself bored because things have always come easy to him. He aspires to accomplish something so big, it'll change the world. (He's also a bit of a sadist.)

These two ambitious and attractive fellows decide to give Ema Tachibana a makeover!

    But Ema has other ideas.
    My review
First of I want to start with the postives. In my opinion Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome does a really good job at over the top comedy which it has a lot of. A lot of the things the characters does and say can be really outrageous which drives a lot of the comedy, another good aspect is the different bad endings which are often quite creative and usually very funny. As for things I didn't like I would say it is the characters, general story and romance. The characters while often funny were just generally unlikable in my opinion, I think they just had to many bad traits while not really having many good ones ending up with just unsatisfactory character rather than them being loveable idiots which I assumed they tried for when making them. The story in general felt kind of meh, it wasn't really bad but I wouldn't call it good either and other than the really funny over the top moments it often just started feeling boring. As for the romance I think it was pretty rushed and I had a hard time really caring about that element in this VN. Of course me not liking the romance could have a bit to do with it being an Otome VN which means it mainly apeals to women, so it might be that they find it more satisfactory. As for the sex scenes they seem to focus on romance building, though since I didn't really like the romance that much I didn't really care for them. Also I feel like they missed an opportunity not using the skimpy clothes made by Miki in the sex scenes, when you have such lovely sexy clothes in a VN why not use it in at least some sex scenes?
    Final thought
As for my overall thoughts I think it is a good VN despite some major flaws, the comedy is really good during a lot of parts and those I think on their own are enough of a reason to read this VN but the other parts range from mediocre to bad which makes it so that I wouldn't say it is better than just good. So if you are looking for some over the top comedy I think this VN is a pretty good choice, however there are going to be some parts that you will probably find rather boring and I would not recommend it if you are looking for likeable characters, a good story or a good romance.

For a general introduction to what Saya no Uta is you can just read it on the back of the hardcopy (picture of it is bellow) I can't really go into it much without spoiling anything so I will only mention my general feelings about Saya no Uta
Saya no Uta is quite an interesting psychological horror visual novel and a thing I really like about it is how it shows a lot of unique perspectives and how dvelve into the psychology of the different characters. While it is a rather short visual novel I think that it does a really good job of using the time it has to cover a great story and it never felt to me like it went to fast. While I do think it was generally really interesting I did at times feel a bit bored during a few parts of the VN, this didn't happen often, but it was somewhat noticable. The art of Saya no Uta I found to be quite good, it manages quite well both to display the horrors the main characters see and the beauty of Saya, though it being 800x600 resolution does hurt it a bit (some time after my review they added a free patch that makes the resolution 1600x1200). The sound in Saya no Uta I really loved, it does a really good job at setting the tones of the scenes and is really essensial to the enjoyment of the VN, I especially liked the one with the same name a the VN Saya no Uta. As for the endings 2 of the 3 are quite interesting, but I wouldn't say they are that amazing, though the true ending was absolutely stunning.

The physical edition is quite standard, though I do like how reverse cover is just white and pure with Saya in the middle.

Having just finished all the endings of the Haiyore! Nyaruko-san PS vita VN i figured I would share my disappointment so those interested in know more about the VN.
The first half of the VN is a retelling of the first season of the anime with a few new scenes and lots of lots of CGs, almost all of which are just art taken from the anime. The remaning half is a decent enough story but nothing special, my main problem with it is that the comedy is very repetaive with things that used to be funny early on being overplayed to the point where it loses most of its comedic value. The really bad thing about this VN however is its route system and endings. There are 8 different endings though 6 of them have 2 variations so quite a lot of endings. These endings are short 2-3 min and the part of the route of the character that leads up to the endings are lackluster with the same events playing out each time but with a different character which means some of the dialoge is changed. The main problem here is how much of a pain in the ass it is to get to a new ending once you have completed the VN. Most of the scenes are the same for all routes and the more routes you do the less scenes are left to read in the other routes. This means a lot of skipping and the problem with this is that the skipping in the VN is a bit slow as it uses time to load the different sprites and background. Because of this skipping through the VN while not reading a single scene will take roughly 1 hour and there are probably 40-50 options to choose between so it will stop you up as you skip through it constantly. This system is a pain in the ass to deal with as you need to read the VN 8 times for all the endings and 6 of these times you need to read from roughly 70% complete to the end twice. So once you are done with your first route you will just switch between reading short segments and skipping with the later ones being pretty much pure skipping until the end. I would estimate I used roughly as long time skipping on this VN as I  actually did reading it and if I weren't a completionist by heart I would have dropped it someplace during my 2nd read through. So the only ones I would recommend to pick this up are people who really just want some more Nyaruko and just plan on reading one route before quiting.

Visual novel spinn-offs of anime video
I have decided to stop with these reviews where I do a short review and show the physical edition, but I have recently made a video where I talk about visual novels that are spinn-offs of anime so for anyone that liked getting more info on those titles you can check that out.

So far I have only made 2 parts but this will be a 4 part series where I will go through every VN based on anime I have read. I plan to release one part each week.
