    I'm not familar with this issue, so I took a poke around google to maybe hopefully help find a solution. There was a couple of people who had the same problem patching over FF9, but it wasn't really helpful. One said he fixed his problem by finding a "different copy."

     

    Are you trying to load the .bin or the .cue?

    Maybe try finding a different image of the game or use a different release of PPF-O-Matic?

    That's true, it is the more recognizable title. The thing is drawing in the people who don't know about the anime or even those who are indifferent to anime in general. That might not be who they're targeting, though. Either way, I hope it does decently enough and it doesn't dissuade any future attempts. I'll most likely buy it to support it.

    Just updating this thread.  After almost an year Higurashi has finally been approved on Greenlight, and it will probably be released soon on the store.

     

    I'm partly glad, but to reiterate a common opinion here, I really wish they put forward something with more commercial appeal. It just doesn't seem like something that would be met with much success, though they may have their own reasons. They may have just been half-heartedly testing the platform. They know their business better than I do.

     

    I can imagine the steam community's general response to the game.

    Similar to Down, on a fundamental level I can't get behind any prohibitive restrictions on anything that doesn't have a victim or produces harmful secondary effects. I'm sure a case could be made that lolicon does have a secondary effect on society, but I'm not sure it would be a strong case as I don't think the effect would be anything that would be measurable, quantifiable. or even real.

     

    That being said, the concept itself does make me uncomfortable and I have my own misgivings with it. However, my personal feelings have nothing to do with whether something should be banned or not, nor does it give me any right to condemn those who produce/consume lolicon.

    I'm currently working my way through Amane's route in If My Heart Had Wings. Played all the other routes. I enjoyed Kotori's route the most so far. The climax really piled it on and the conflict(s) weren't so 1-dimensional. Asa's route was alright, but weak. I guess it was primarily setting you up for the twin route. The twin route was played too straight for my tastes. Ageha's route was the most disappointing, particularly because I enjoy her characterization. The tension itself was fine, but it's source just strained credibility and the whole thing ending up feeling like a mess by the time it was over.

     

    I've heard Amane's the best route from a few people, so I'm glad that I saved it for last.
