  1. I would agree if there was some kind of upgrade option, but I haven't seen many games that let you buy the steam version and then upgrade to 18+ when it is released.
  2. Calling it a DLC though, like I said, is a little inaccurate. It could be sold as a stand alone game. DLC in the Witcher was free. DLC and Expansions cost money in games like Dragon Age and Bethesda games. DLC, to me, is the nickle and dime, 5-10$, that have little quality but make users feel their game is now incomplete if they don't purchase the content. Infamous: First Light was actually sold separately from Infamous: Second Son where you never had to play the original game. Edit: I would call the 18+ content in VNs to be Nickle and Dime type DLC. Someone previously posted that in Japan they don't even release 2 versions.
  3. Expansions are not really the same as normal DLC. Blood and Wine is an entire new region with optimizations that make it even better than playing the regular game, especially on a High-End PC.
  4. Is this release usually simultaneous? I know having them released at separate times is what really annoys me.
  5. I don't mind paying more for the 18+ version, but the way they do it with Grisaia is ridiculous. Release a game on Steam at all ages, when they haven't even finished translating the 18+ version. After take 3-6 months to release the 18+ version with no discount to people who already purchased on steam. This is akin to Peter Jackson releasing the Theatrical version of LOTR on Blu Ray and then a year later releasing the extended cut. It is a slimy practice to get a few people to purchase both versions at full price. Edit: What is the regular practice in Japan for All-Ages/Teen versions and 18+ versions as far as pricing?
  6. Loved Euphoria. I haven't made a VNDB profile with all of the ones I've read. I tend to finish a route or 2 and then get crtl happy and do a lot of fast forwarding >.< I wish more VNs had the motion element like in Shiny Days and School Days.
  7. I've read all the ones you mentioned except Dracu and Deadrops which I am downloading both of them now.
  8. Dracu-Riot! seems like it might be the one for me. I guess 1 of the routes is missing right?
  9. Hey guys looking for a broad recommendation. The most important thing is translated. Also something that was published after 2010 so the artwork is reasonable modern/good quality. Last would like at least some element of romance/h-scenes.
  10. Why did they give out steam keys in the first place? Did they really intend for people to give them to friends or just to have another copy. Not to be too blunt, but anyone can get their games for free and we only pay for them to support the company and ensure future releases.
  11. Ayaka and Rise had good routes; I didn't use a walkthrough on the first playthrough and was devastated that there wasn't a Ruriko route. I hope the routes in w*happiness are fulfilling.
