  1. Can't decide what to read next so I'm coming back to you guys. I'm looking for something that shouldn't be too hard to find but for some reason I can't find anything that seems like what I want. I'm looking for a VN that is mainly romance and comedy without too much depressing or sad elements. With that being said I'm looking for something that looks a bit more modern (something 2010+ or so).

Basically I'm looking for something similar to Noble Works. H-scenes, tsundere or adult heroine are plusses but not necessary.

    Thanks for any recommendations!

Edit: Forgot to mention my list of already read: Edelweiss, Princess Evangile, Noble Works, Sono Hana 8, Majikoi, Grisaia no Kajitsu, and Koiken Otome.

  2. Specifically I am looking for the patch for Sono Hana 8. I know that the group who released this patch has taken it down because Mangagamer is releasing games in the series...but they appear to only be interested in the new games and not going back. So with that said I am trying to find a way to get the patch, does anyone have it or know where this can be found on the internet? Not the full game but just the english patch.

Also if this is against the rules (don't think it is but I also cannot find a list of forum rules) please delete the thread and let me know!

    Thanks guys!

  3. So I bought Demonbane from JAST a while back and am just now getting around to it. The issue I'm having is there doesn't appear to be an option in the setup to change where the game is installed to so it installs to my SSD which is not where I like to keep my VNs. Anyone know a way around this? Not the end of the world issue but I prefer to have all my VNs in the same place which makes my SSD not the best place for it.

    Who else left?

As well as the two people mentioned above the staff list on Sekai no longer mentions Raymond Qian.

I really hope this doesn't turn into a huge thing... if this is actually the reason for this and not just people leaving for other reasons. I would fucking hate to see a company putting out VN content to have something happen for such a stupid reason. SP still has a bunch of games slated to come out that I am looking forward to. Even if they have issues with the 18+ content I would hate to see a bunch of people lose their jobs or have something bad happen to the company because of departures. SP doesn't seem like a big enough company to just lose 2 or 3 employees without any consequence.

Anyway hope this turns out alright and the people that are leaving find jobs soon. Who knows maybe this will end up being a good thing in the end? Or it may be horrible. Have to wait and see.

  5. Currently reading Noble Works. I like it so far. Reminds me of Princess Evangile which I enjoyed. Not sure which one I like more... I have gone back to my weird predilection for no finishing one route before starting another, mostly because I can't decide who I like more: Maya or Akira. I like the fact that so far there is basically no real drama to speak of (I doubt it will stay this way for the rest of the novel) mostly because right now I need something that is just a feel good read. Don't know if I will read all the routes as I can't say I find all the heroines particularly interesting. *cough* Shizuru *cough*

  6. Hello! Welcome to the community! Good to see more people get interested in visual novels and people interested in making visual novels. I agree that adding interactivity to a story increases its impact. Feeling that you had something to do with how the story plays out increases how much I care about characters and the outcome of the story.

Anyway hope to see you around!

  7. I would second both Majikoi and Edelweiss. Both are really funny but Edelweiss has some drama to it which I feel is the weakest part of the VN. The comedy is great though. Don't have any other recommendations personally but am interested to see what everyone else has to say.

It'd be impossible to give a sensible percentage since there's so many layers to the process of this project. The translation is very nearly done, there remain a few routes to be edited, and the proofreading is all over the place but proceeding thoroughly.

    Alright thanks for the update!

  9. Not to be a pest but what is the current status of the translation? On the VNTS it doesn't have a percentage so I  don't know how to live my life.

Also since I haven't posted in this thread before thank you for finishing the translation on this game!

  10. Katawa Shoujo has a Mac version and is a lot of people's first VN so it might be something to check out. Higurashi and Umineko are also on Mac I believe. A bunch of the Kickstarted VNs like Grisaia and Muv Luv have said they are doing Vita versions so that would be something to look for in the future (not sure exactly when). And Steins;Gate is on Vita too. Hope this helps.

  11. I've personally never had any problems with W10. Been using it on my desktop since the beta for it, granted I was using Windows 8 before that on my desktop. Also granted I have mostly only read officially translated VNs and stuff released rather recently so I may run into problems later on. Although hopefully people will continue to find ways to make them work with the newest operating system.

I would recommend disabling some of the intrusive privacy settings in W10 though. I found this helpful for this: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2971725/windows/how-to-reclaim-your-privacy-in-windows-10-piece-by-piece.html

  12. I tend to read one route and then come back to it later to read the other routes for the same feeling that you are describing. I'm conflicted because I want to see all the content but I feel like I made my decisions most of the time. So hopefully you aren't dysfunctional, otherwise I am too. :P
